JMG 930 on eBay
Discussion
Having finished swinging my pants in a victory dance..
.. Marky911 is indeed the winner!!! Well done!
How would you like your poison Marky? Voucher for workshop minor service or the kit mailing up to you?
Yep Simon, as the registrar said at the time "Very poorly", apparently very poorly in their words means something different to my version.. Mine means somewhere between a cold and flu (which is obviously fatal!) whereas their version means "unlikely to make it"!!!

Good result OP. Got to be happy with that.
Coincidentally my car is booked in for a minor service on the 3rd May. I'm way up north otherwise I'd pop it into you.
I'm pleased with your result and I'm not after anything for nothing. I already have my Millers Motorsport oil which arrived last week, so don't worry about it.
If you insist, well I haven't bought the oil filter yet, so that would be ample, but like I say, no need. As said on here this has been the best read for a while, so don't waste your money for me.
Well done for coming on and I hope you enjoy the remainder of your collection in good health. Just calm down on that bloody 'ring eh.
Top man!

There you have it ladies, the future of marketing!
Exactly. I seem to spend half my life explaining to people why their 944 isn't selling, when the ad is crap. Detail everything, loads of pics, all the faults, and bump it like mad on the forums. Get some interest going, sit back, and watch the bids roll in!
Thread of 2014 and we are only in April!
Well done on selling the 930, even though I am sure it is with mixed emotions. Thank you for sharing your life it is a humbling read.
I am sure the recent past will help shape yours and your boy's future, you are obviously a top bloke.
Just felt the need to post this. Nothing more.

I will try to talk the new owner into updating his progress in here as he gets her restored to her former glory.
Thanks for the kind words as always, maybe I should hang out here more often.
Paul is absolutely right, people hardly ever advertise their cars correctly.. there needs to be plenty of details, worded naturally, as if you are talking, not just a boring spec list, and you need lots of pictures.
Marky911, name your charity and I will make a donation for you instead of the service.

Great idea John.
Either of these two please, or half for each if you have time.
They both rely massively on public donations.
North air ambulance provides an essential service rescuing people up in rural Northumberland and Cumbria. Saves a lot of bikers lives especially!

Or, Zoes Place, Teesside. A children's hospice for ages 0-5years old.
We did an easter egg run a few years ago and delivered a load to this place and it was very humbling. Very sad, but seeing the support the kids and their families get from the nurses here was heart warming.

If you see a "Gift Aid" option click that. For every £10 donated the charity receive £12.50.
Thanks John, very kind.

I'm quite new to the forum and quite honestly cannot stand 90% of the posters on 'Speed,Plod and the Law'.
I am pretty much perplexed with 80% off the posters on 'General Gassing' too.
I enjoy the Porsche section because it seems to be full of gentleman (even when disagreeing) and this thread exemplifies why
i spend most of my time in this section.

Jaysus madness.
You could get a really nice 911 for that.
Not a fan of the 930, totally over rated shoite to drive and slow.

One that needs work, sells for over £35k One that does not need work, top end and gearbox done already plus FSH 85 at £42k
Dealers selling them for £50k+ Buying them for £30k-£40k.
The 930 is like Marmite you either love them or hate them.
Also people have to remember these cars are now over twenty years old.
People and the Porsche's cars have moved on, so to compare them to a newer model would be unfair.
They are what they are a old Porsche from years gone by.
As for me I love my 930, it is for me 'EVERY MILE IS A SMILE'
When that stops time to sell, a car has to make you happy to own it.
If not why buy it in the first place?
I do not think, if it came to selling time I would lose out either.
However you must spend money on there upkeep. Most owners do not, hence so many on the market.
