av185 - I've registered your details. Thanks for your support.

Just to update you, with the difference in our timezones, Macca and I are effectively running a 24 hour round the clock registration. We currently have registered stakeholders from the USA, Canada, UAE, Sweden and, of course, the UK. The aggregate value of vehicles registered so far is circa £4m in less than 36 hours. Let's keep it going. Thanks.

Guys would definitely would be with you on this one if my car had been on the road.. but being only an allocated slot for the moment.. I think I have little to claim except for a goodwill gesture if they postpone production for much longer..

good luck to all of you and I hope we come to a swift resolution.. with cars back ASAP on the road which is the most important thing !

What exactly are you hoping to achieve here? There are complaints that Porsche are ignoring you, what do you expect? They have presumably offered to refund deposits or take the cars back, what more do you want? I can see it all over the press 'Rich Porsche playboys upset because they can't play with their new toys yet' yep, you are in for lots of sympathy. As for legal action, for what? Porsche are acting responsibly and reasonably, are they contractually obliged to do more? The general public know that all manufacturers have these issues and potential Porsche owners are not going to be influenced, they have a bad enough reputation anyways with customer service, OPC charges, M96/97 issues but they sell more cars and especially SUV's than ever. The most you can reasonably expect is compensation for a hire car.

I know it is hard for people who are not in this situation to understand but let me try to give you a similar scenario.

I am sure you have an iPhone or similar - you buy it via hard cash or contract no matter, you use it for 2 months then Apple tells you the battery is likely to explode so send back to retailer, with reply of we will in touch soon! The only communication you will get is once a month by post stating from Apple we know the problem and we will be in touch again! Don't tell me you would be calm and all high and mighty about it because you would not. I booked our holiday in Jan for the end of April to drive to Italy and back, hotels, trains etc after being told my car would be early March delivery. As of now I and Porsche could not tell you when I will get my car so under my HUMAN RIGHTS that I am allowed to have I too can be angry, annoyed frustrated etc? Or because we can afford a car that is £100k plus we have no right to complain! F***ing Greenpeace!

What is the point of having Customer Service when they don't give it!

Just received my letter through the post this morning.

Let me go back over a week ago.
Had phone call from my Rep on 2 April stating in 2 days time (fri 4th April) I will hear from customer service
No show
7 & 8 April, no email
Rang CService to be told yeah we sent you email yesterday or oh sorry wait a minute no we did not but the system says yes we did. We will update our system! We will send you by post next couple of days.
Sat 12th April, received the same communication as everybody else but dated 11th April by post.

The moral of this story and this whole sorry saga is communication. It doesn't matter what walk of life you're in communication is very important specially when there are so many different media you can use, this is not acceptable from a Corporation like Porsche. I will keep my car because it is a brilliant car but the company need to sort this basic of all basic things out.

PORSCHE AG COMMUNICATE PLEASE!

That's a fair assessment. There will be books written about this communication fiasco soon.

I agree with all you say, I am merely looking at the situation dispassionately as one who is not directly involved. It is most unfortunate but I don't see that much can be achieved and certainly it would not be advisable to got to litigation. If you can prove that you ordered your car conditionally on it being available to go on holiday and Porsche accepted that then you may have a case, but of course they won't agree to anything like that. I very much doubt that your 'human rights' extend to the delivery date of a motor car. Frustrating in the extreme and why Porsche cannot give a simple date or remedy I don't know, they are not known for their customer services, what I do know is that there really is no effective remedy but to wait it out. A classic example of their poor service is the confusion over the extended warranty, they know that the wording is not enforceable, are happy to confirm this when challenged but won't reprint or amend the booklet.

How many times do people fail to read what SM wrote, this isn't a legal action. It is a group of people speaking to PAG with once voice

I think Porsche are playing games with those who have cars. Yes they have offered refunds, yes they have said a fix is coming. But what they won't do is detail the exact amount of compensation to be paid thus allowing owners to decide wether or not the wait is worthwhile.
That, IMO, stinks.

This is what I mean. Even though we complain about Porsche being bad in not communicating to us, we have the general public not bothering to read the forum correctly and stating crap that they do not know or feel about, getting me all worked up!

Or just to keep harmony in this sensitive culture we live in maybe SM delete the word "action" in the title, we could be called terrorists!

We do not want a legal fight but just want one large mega phone voice to Porsche to listen to some of its customers (many hands make light work?)

Why can't you just leave this thread to those directly involved - if you do already own a GT3 or have one on order (and you can't be bothered to read the other posts) then you have nothing of any interest / relevance to add for the rest of us.
