Interesting developments indeed. While the 'initiative' of two agile leaders of the "group" most certainly helped accelerate the PCGB compensation offer we witnessed yesterday, I am sure those well informed among you know that the parameters of the compensation have, in actual fact, been determined between Porsche AG and PCGB well before the main offensive...some (PCGB in this instance) like to postpone the inevitable for some reason, evidently.

Also, has anyone considered a possibility that one or more existing owners of the affected 991GT3 may not be satisfied with the magnitude of PCGB's definition of "goodwill" and may be contemplating putting forward their own ideas of the kind? Has anyone already done that, by any chance? If my (fading) memory serves me well enough, in the beginning, mutually acceptable solutions were to be discussed individually between owners and their respective OPCs. Is this no longer the case now that PCGB made a formal goodwill offer? Is the offer non-negotiable and, simply, on a "take it or leave it" basis in full and final settlement?

I am not trying to disturb already substantial levels of expectations that vocally gifted owners and "to be owners" expressed on the subject, just wondering whether this is "The End" of the story, or The Real End may be when...it actually becomes exactly that.

And why are you so sure of that? After all, we saw how other markets were far more swiftly dealt with so I can't see how your argument holds water.

Again, why is this? So perhaps some porsche rep can jump out from behind the scenes and shout " SURPRISE, Har Har"?

No-one can be sure, but it is a reasonable assumption that Porsche & their lawyers will have been considering this from the outset and worked out many alternatives.

Well done to the group to help push this along.

Sorry, but believe me, it IS possible to be sure. The only speculating lot is those of us who THINK we know, while those who REALLY know do what they intend to do and rarely (at least in automotive industry( change their main path or intention. And, above all, do not talk about it too much publicly...

I post very little and so it shall remain. But, rest assured that whatever I do post is based on facts coming from the source and not on hundreds of pages of pointless speculation and various forms of 'civil war' against the common enemy.

And, yes, car manufacturers do have lawyers that may not be better than yours or mine, but they have all the time and funds on their hands to do what their employers instruct them to do. Times of idealism and 'freedom fighting' in serious commerce are just a wishful delusion.

Oh, and before I disappear and leave this to unfold itself further in whichever way it may, it is interesting that no one even attempted to comment on or answer the crucial points of my original post. Strangely typical for internet forums, wouldn't you say?

Sorry to have bothered...over and out and best wishes. It stopped raining a while ago and soon air density will be almost perfect for a night drive in my wonderful 991GT3. No residual values, no nonsense, just pure joy and pleasure. Which is, after all, why we all acquired the damn thing, no?

Hi I have just been informed by my supplying dealer that my engine will be fitted by the end of the month. Delivery date is w/c 19th May.My car was the first GT3 registered at the dealer hence it's the first to have the engine fitted. Really pleased about it but will be seeking compensation.

Been confirmed today by OPC that £2k per month [or £2k plus £1.5k per month]is only for owners of delivered cars and rate for undelivered cars is a flat £4k irrespective of final delivery.
Believe or not, have a good weekend.
