Split up with his girlfriend and no kids fortunately.
I have just heard the really sad news, and I'm lost for words. I remember sharing tips on turbo tuning, on different bits for our cars, suspension set-up, and buying bits from the USA together to get cheaper prices. I hadn't spoken to Andy for a while, I'd tried to get him to come to VMAX on a couple of occasions as a guest of Nine Excellence, just to get in him in one of our 200mph cars.
Ed (Crimp a Length) if you have the funeral details can you PM me so I can send my condolences.
Andy, RIP mate, you will be missed...

I turned 45 two weeks ago, it does focus the mind doesn't it, you just never know, but when you read things like this even if you don't know the person it does make you stop for a moment and think about them and the fact they were probably doing just the same things the rest of us do in our somewhat routine lives, just a few days ago and then bang, gone. I guess thats why we all must try to make everyday count.
Sad and Sorry for the loss, and condolences to family and friends.

Spot on mate.Sad and Sorry for the loss, and condolences to family and friends.
This sad news has been playing on my mind all week. So I've tried to get something positive from it. A few things, I've needed to put right in my mind and life. We are a long time dead, tell your family and friends you love them, don't take it for granted, we are a long time dead.
And for all you Porsche owners, with silly insurance policies with only 3k, but only use 2k, ffs, drive them.
RIP, my fellow Pistonheader.

Gutted I met Andy a few years ago at a Pistonheads meet in Sheffield, he took me for a spin in his 996 Turbo which was and still is the fastest car I've ever been in. We were chatting about cars and it turned out he also had a Ur quattro with the same engine conversion I have in mine, small world. He was talking about trying to enlarge the engine even further and I pointed him in the direction of a 100mm crank good for 2.7ltrs in the Ur. Sadly I never got to see the car and I don't think he bought the crank.
RIP, the car world won't be the same without you
