In those cool rear engined Porsches? You lift the front up and put your stuff in there, but is it still the bonnet. You face it when you're driving, but it doesn't shelter the engine.

Any ideas?

Hate to admit it, but calling it a trunk makes some sense

In my Boxster when opening the front luggage compartment I "lift the bonnet". When opening the rear luggage compartment I "pop the boot lid".

Luckily the engine is completely obscured and so can't confuse the issue.

In a rear-engined 996 I still think I'd "pop the boot" to get at the engine...
