Just for info, I've driven in a 6GT3 with a 2.7RS in tow...I can confirm the 2.7RS is not slow!
The circa 300kg reduced weight adds a lot of performance!
I have had about 5 or 6, 2.7, 210bhp Carrera, and one RS, I agree they are not slow, and in the day they were quick.....but come on now....

at what price..? I know the largest P collator's in Asia....when I mention the 6RS they laugh..

.
good, hopefully they'll keep their grubby little hands off our until recently sensibly priced RS's. You talk as if it's a good thing that a group of newly moneyed people on the other side of the world are buying up track focused Pork so they can't be used as intended.

I have to say my dear chap that you do spout of lot of nonsense.

This has to be the most perverse comment in the history of PH, now I know you are a child.....

You were right Rob......
Apolo with your silly slaging, name calling, willy waving comments i am going to resort to your skill set,you realy are a dick.
The rs has little race history, the race history was created mainly by the rsr,and other special ed cars ,of which you said were side line cars, who has made the best comment in the history of P H then with the rsr as a side line.

A 2.7 lwt on a twisty greasy road is far from slow.

not WW, don't need. just showing that I have experience in the 2.7s.......call me what you want its what children do.....I can not think of a car over the years that has entered more races than a 2.7RS.....

Really, you are not trying very hard.
The 2.7 carrera is not a lwt rs,far from it,i did not realise you were a expert in early porsche race cars also, may be you should write a book and educate us all.
I will say it again the 3.8 is a bargain compared to the 4.0'if the 4 is now 325 as you say the 3.8 should be at least 300'woof woof.laugh

Oh Dear
I had great fun in my 964RS and much regret selling it, the same for the 993RS, within just a few miles in the 6RS it almost through me of the road, I am not alone in this view others on here have had similar experience's.

I tried with a geo set up, and it was worse. Strange I had a 6GT2 as a daily for over two years...but the 6RS.....

the 991GT3 looks about 20k over list, as for the 4.0, if you look above you will see that I am referring to the RHDs, of which less than 80 were made, also the above price you quote, can not be correct even for a LHD, there are LHDs on here for 100k more......

not shooting, just the facts....

I've driven them with all types of different set ups from soft road to full race. I'm still here. Best 911 I've ever driven. Most of the hardcore 911 drivers that I know feel the same about the 6RS.

But then to me the 991GT3 is one of the worst 911's I've driven. A Stepford wives 911. Different cars attract different drivers.
