dual zone climate control because I wrongly assumed single zone climate control would be standard. Hotter/cooler of the standard system isn't specific enough. I need details.
+1

standard A/C is rubbish. You have to keep adjusting, which is a pain as the gear stick is in the way. This is one of 2 options I regretted not getting on my departed 981S.

the other is PASM .. standard on GTS. Nothing like being able to stiffen the chassis smile

Only other thing I'd add is that Porsche sounds systems are not the best - don't waste too much on them - sound package plus would do me I suspect.
I have to disagree. The Burmester is without doubt the best car stereo I have ever heard, by a very long shot. The clarity from the ribbon tweeters and the power from the sub that’s integrated into the bodyshel is simply fantastic. I paid twice what the Burmester upgrade costs on my home stereo and music sounds better in the car than in the house. I get to enjoy it in the car because I don't have to worry about upsetting the neighbours like I do at home. Worth every penny in my opinion.

I should qualify my statement by saying I don't have experience of the Burmester, merely the Bose and sound package + systems (and only then, mainly in 987 cars) - and to my ears they weren't worth it. How much is Burmester though - rather a lot is it not? Each to their own of course, but in a more focused kind of driver's car, I don't see the merit, personally.

981 BOSE is leagues ahead of 987 BOSE. I have had both.

I test drove a new Boxster S last week with Bose installed, and also had Bose in my 2010 Cayman R. Sounded great in both! Have specced it for my new Boxster GTS. I know I will love listening to the engine/exhaust note, but when two up with the missus or on long runs it will be enjoyed.

maybe i am too cheap.

I would just get PCCB, X73, torque vectoring, satin wheels, buckets and painted bucket pass throughs and manual....

and I would delete AC if I could. could Porsche do it?

nothing else.. seriously.

my GTS spec

Manual
Metallic paint
Satin wheels
Painted roll hops
X73 Suspension
GTS interior with silver stitching and carbon trims ( because I liked it )
Sat nav ( and sound package plus because I had to add )
Sports steering wheel in leather ( not alcantara )
Rear sensors ( because the visibility with the hood up is Crxp
Automatic AC ( because the standard is so 1970s )

Build date in October .

I have to ask - why? Saving supposedly only around ~20kg on an almost tonne and a half car that costs £60k+ seems to be something that will have no discernible performance benefit, will hurt resale potential and make the demisting work significantly worse in winter. There may be an argument for not spending the money to spec it on a rag top, but if it comes as standard I am baffled at the concept of deleting it???

I concur. My new Boxster GTS has a nice spec as I feel a few pounds here and there do not really matter and who wants a £60k car feeling like a £30k one, and if necessary weight reduction can be accomplished by reducing human weight (driver keep fit programme) and no passenger :-)

Each to their own bro! Mine is a combination of track and daily drive spec so like a bit of both in the spec... like, no PASM, PTVS fitted, but PCM and A/C also fitted...
