£100 to £125k? Surely not. Isn't this the one which has had a fairly serious shunt?

Yes, that was me. But to put the whole thing into perspective, that car had been for sale for quite a few months with no interest whatsoever. Goes to show how the market has changed.

so do you now feel that there is a demand for these cars? I don't, this perceived 100k value is imv down to the likes of other models of the RS,.

I accept that the car has a small cult following......no demand from the export market despite Rhds and low nos....

having said the above, 45k to what 60,70,80k in over 2 years, is good going, but that's imv down to the RS badge....not because its an IN car...

Having said the above I may well be completely wrong.....

I do agree with you on one point there Apolo...any 911 with an RS badge is always going to do well and I agree it has taken the 6RS longer than most. However, the rise in these cars from 60k to now 100 has taken place in a little over a year.I have also heard on the grapevine of a car with 2k miles on it that could be on the market at some point and the price will be close to double what is being talked about here (admittedly it is an ultra low miler). Is perhaps the export market a touch behind the curve too?

How did you work that one out?? Not good manners unless you are sure.
This is a ceramics and white roll cage car. I've not seen it in the market for a few years.
£120k+ imv (yes, I own an identical one but stating in terms of would not let go of below that)

I'm not saying it is that one. I'm asking if it is the same one. There is a difference.

If you read the posts above you will find reference to somebody saying that they nearly bought this car for £46k with a thread attached.

If you read the rest of that thread, you will see that there is an implication that the car had a serious shunt, which was fixed professionally. There are also some comments asking Steve Rance his view on getting cars fixed - who's good and what to look for. If this is the same car, which I'm not saying it is, then there's an implication that this has had some repair work done. See below:

Apologies in advance if I've made a mistake and mis-read the thread but even so £120k seems very high even for a mint condition 996RS but the market has gone crazy in the last few months it has to be said.

just my view on this car, good luck to those that follow it....Its not one for me...
in my experience the export market is usually in front of the curve

Different car. This one has ceramics and low mileage.

Might be mine in 30 mins smile If the chap that was interested in my GT2 was serious.

Edit.

Has it been in a serious shunt?

No evidence that I can see to say that it has (a bit too much extrapolation on the thread)
Of course, if you are buying then get the usual checks done.
Looks like a good car to me (not connected to seller or car)

I have not dealt with Paul Stephens before, however, I was under the impression that they are an established Porsche reseller with plenty of experience in the brand including quite a few GT3 and RSs over the years (I remember seeing many a smiliar car advertised on their site).

I agree JZM do have a greater reputation and experience as both reseller and servicing outfit.

My point is PS are not an unknown quantity...happy to be corrected if I have it wrong.

Have you had any offers? Mine's a very similar car and I'd be interested to hear what you get for it.
