96rs for sale...
Discussion
Bought my GT3 from Paul Stephens 2 years ago. It's actually the black one in the wanted Add.
Was a very easy transaction , He sold my 74 Targa for me LHD in no time at all for a very ood price. I paid the asking but had it fully serviced , and the front end resprayed for stone chips which was a cracking Job.
If you've never been to his showroom it's pretty incredible, My only regret was I didn't buy a GT3 RS from him but 40 K for my GT3 Mk 2 low miles under 30K compared to 58 K for an RS.
If I ever sell mine it will be through Paul Stephens.

Totally depends if you paid over the odds for the car I guessWas a very easy transaction , He sold my 74 Targa for me LHD in no time at all for a very ood price. I paid the asking but had it fully serviced , and the front end resprayed for stone chips which was a cracking Job.

If it sells for 120 then no.
When I was down there he had the yellow 993 GT2 RS for sale for over 300 K , previously purchased 5 years earlier for 100K. It Sold.
The market dictates the price and at the mo 996 GT3's and RS's are fetching crazy money....it is what it is , Anyworth is worth what people are prepared to pay, prehaps in 5 years time when 996's are going for 250K everyone will look at 120 K as cheap..Not saying it's right but it is what it is

If you are going to DRIVE the car.. I dont think trading from a 997gt2 to a 996RS is a very good move.
I suppose it depends on the definition of DRIVE....regular weekly road driving then I agree a 7gt2 would be better
...track slag then I could also agree as it is a top end car(though a 7gt2 would be even worse for this use)
On the other hand,
...occassional sunday drive...its fine for that (I guess the 7gt2 also good for this depending on whether you prefer a refined or raw experience)
...occassional track use (say 3-4 per year)...its brilliant for that (and better than a 7gt2)
Apart from the above as an occasional driver plus investment retention/increase car it is also better than a 7gt2

I found the 996RS I drove was disappointingly slow and too hard for the roads. I guess that makes a market though. a 997GT2 is a much more exciting road car, can be used on track and imho good value....regular weekly road driving then I agree a 7gt2 would be better
