Just a serious thought (I sometimes have them).
In the Porsche does the car have any form of electrical 'lock-out' that needs to be energised before the key will stay in the "run" position.
I suspect this could be the case in a PDK equipped car if not in a manual but I bet the loom is the same for both so they may have a gizmo that disables it for the manual.
More for SR to check out.

PS. The above may be total bo**ocks but you never know!

Superb!
Have you thought about binning the original ecu and all the shenanigans required to delete error messages etc etc and just putting a syvecs or something in there? Bin the GT3 dash pod too, the analogue speedo is next to useless, put a Motec dash in there and be done with it?
I may be spouting rubbish there but using something entirely configurable rather than trying to hack the oem stuff may be easier?

It does make you realise how hard it's going to be to keep this generation of cars running in 20 years time when you can't buy a new dash or sensor and the only option is to rip everything out and go aftermarket/motorsport.Have you thought about binning the original ecu and all the shenanigans required to delete error messages etc etc and just putting a syvecs or something in there? Would it have been easier to go full aftermarket yes. Would it have been more expensive defiantly after you consider
We already had the everything here minus the column switch gear, plus a full tune would have been needed ( consider this engine has variable valve timing and lift ) where as we just need a few hours on the dyno.
Just think of it this way, it's a great way to show to the world what you can do, or in this case what I ( with help from my old mate SR ) can do.... So it's a rolling advert for the talents that you can hire from me, plus I love a challenge :-)

If you are friendly with the local Porsche Dealer they will have a PIWIS machine which will be able to code in/out certain features. Alternatively I think the Durametric Pro can do so aswell. You may be able to get the car down to 'base' spec - i.e. no TPM, no sat nav, no sports exhaust/sport chrono etc. and reduce the number of error messages that way?
Edit - P.S. Read through the thread from the start in a couple of days - seriously impressive. I don't think I'd know where to start!

Or you could add a device on the CAN bus that pretends to be each of the missing boxes, I doubt there is anything readily available on the market for this but if you get in touch with any of the after market tool providers they have have simulators that can do the job.
