When you machine the ali mounts for the wing you could machine a pocket into the side of the main vertical member and have a strain gauge installed. You should then be able to 'Gauge' how much downforce your angular adjustments are achieving.

Steve
Going to log the suspension compression as a guide to the balance of the Areo.
Have only just started the design of the uprights for the wing, so lots of design ideas knocking around right now....you never know Steve

Old school CAD again, or Cardboard Aided Design for those that hate abbreviations.

Clive

It's been a while since we've had an update. Is everything ok? Or are you going to present us with a finished car?

Given the speed Clive works at, I'm expecting this car finished and a longtail and pdk car 90% finished wink

As well as doing the cars that I can blog about, I've had been doing some Development projects mainly CAD work for others that I cant talk about. Then there was a little stay in the Hospital, nothing serious but it did knock me around and gave me a little prospective on what's important in life... Also looked into moving to a lovely 4 Acre property not to far from where we are now, had a 40x32 pole barn already to set up shop in, and lots of room for expansion. But after some soul searching and discussions with the wife, even though we loved the property and the house we decided to stay for now and put up a small "Shed" (20x35ft) as I'm running out of room fast. Hope to be back on the 962 full time by next week, and my car is heading to Unobatainium Welding soon to have its turbos and waste gates all connected to the heads with some Artwork of a Header design we've cooked up...lick

Life's a pain when it gets in the way of Car Building banghead

I'll be ok, just means if I ever decied to do Pikes Peak I'll probably need a Helmit with oxygen supply. But that's no shame all the pros do anyway including Seb Leob on his record run..

Sounds like you need to be super careful with the dust from carbon/glass fibre and filler.
I had similar issues with grain dust a few years ago.

We all think we are indestructible when we are young but as we get older reality kicks in.

Take care.

Inner Skins really clean up the look. Got some interesting closure panels to make for the lower WB pickup points, but I'm sure I'll think of something...
