I just want to say publicly that I received some excellent service at Northway Porsche on Friday. The Boxster had been getting a nasty rattly sound - which I was delighted to find out was only a fked alternator.

I gave it the BIG service with everything changed as well as the new alternator and the car is transformed.A sweet drive like it was new...

It wasn't cheap. (Ouch!) But the service, including getting the car back to me in just a day, was excellent and to be recommended highly and represents excellent value.

If you are thinking of taking your car out of the OPC network these are the kind of chaps you need. If you're in the Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke area Northway are an excellent choice.

Recommended (again).

thumbup Always had great service from the guys at Northways over the last 4 years, whether it be a booked service, turning up and asking them to quickly advise to mad, urgent telephone calls to get me out of a problem. They don't seem to get phased. Would always be my choice.

Ray and team are top guys, great on the sales side too - no aggro, nothing too much trouble.
I really appreciated their patience during my 997 buying experience.

Yep. They were booking a month ahead on the last two services. Sign of a popular (for a reason) business.

Nice to hear, getting rare these days, most Porsche specialists have become arrogant tts living of the Porsche brand... Have same great experience with 9e in Gatwick area and Rennlist in Breda (NL).

+1 on this. Paul at Northway has been great in terms of advice etc with my 968. Really helpful and all advice given has a view on getting the car right whilst recognising that you have to be sensible in terms of what you spend on a 20 year old car.

I used to send my 968CS there, what they don't know about Porsche isn't worth knowing. A friend has a 61 plate Cheyenne which had a service at OPC Reading, they quoted £1300 for discs and pads. I told him to try Ray and they were miles cheaper.

My 996 GT3 is booked in at Northway for its first service in my ownership. It's the car's first service outside the Porsche network having been previously looked after by OPC Guildford.

I think I spoke to Ray, he was happy when I said it could wait 4 weeks.

He asked if I have any problems - I said the NSF suspension creaks, he said is it worse in warn weather, I said yes so let's see what their experience comes up with.

Northway are brilliant. No hesitation in recommending them. Your GT3 is in very safe hands, have no worries.

Whilst I have not had any work done there I have checked prices for a couple of jobs I need done in the coming months. They were definitely the lowest in terms of cost versus other Independents in the area. In addition to very competitive prices I had a very good feeling about the place and the people. I will definitely be using them.

If you've not been there before - the signage is not brilliant in order to keep a low profile and not attract thieves! Turn into the lane off the A4, and it is on the right through what looks like a farm gate
