Hey all

I am thinking about getting the 987 boxster s.

Is there much difference between the gen 1 (05-06) to the (07-11) car.

I know the power plant went up from a 3.2 to a 3.4 but other than
That is there much difference with regards to ride, fuel
Economy, performance etc.....

Plus if you guys have for pics of the differences of the exteriors that would be great

There are quite a few differences, mainly engine ones. Also IMS issues (I hate to bring it up but it has to be said) on the gen.2 were eliminated, althogh very rare on the gen.1. The engine went to 3.4 before the gen.2 actually.

Body wise, front and rear bumpers are slightly different,DRLs on front for gen.2, different taillights, interior has later PCM module with touch screen and later (better) satnav,(black centre console rather than silver) newer steering wheel in gen.2 much better.

If you can afford a gen.2 then I'd get one.
