Is the roof line on these a bit lower than the 997? Was behind one the other day and it looked very squat compared to mine. Lovely looking car.

I think it's an illusion. I find cars identical to mine look much lower than mine when out on the road. No idea why.

it looks lower but it is the same, also wider and sits on 20" and bit more aero at the back as well as the front, 1st time a turbo has down force at the front.

So its about the same height then. I was convinced it was lower. I couldn't pull along side to check though as it wasn't hanging about and I was struggling a bit to keep up with it. Bloody quick car.

Its the same body as the new 991RS. From A-B no faster car...

997GT2?,530bhp, quick car, but has the 997 front end prob when pushing on, the big difference apart from the front end is the PDK and the rear wheel steer, just moves the game on to another level, not epic fun to drive though, like say a GT3, apart from the speed it goes round corners.

Good daily ie no agg parking, space, Nav, Phone, etc.. Good residuals also..

Not that I use 0 - 60 times as the ultimate bench mark but 2.9 seconds is freaking quick compared to the 3.5 my GT2 does it in. For a daily driver that's obscene.

Couldn't agree more, use my 991 turbo everyday and it's as easy and as comfortable to drive as a golf yet when required it can do bonkers physics bending feats.. I'm amazed it can pull in excess of 1.1g when accelerating and braking as well as in the bends too.

I'm not sure there is a better daily at any price, I'm certainly stumped on what I'd replace it with...?

A 650s is a good bet, but its 100k more , I have seen 1.3 lateral Gs....

Love the look of the 650s although the fact its 2wd puts me off if using as a daily, surely it spins the wheels in the wet quite a bit? If you were going from A to B cross country in the wet and wanted as little fuss as possible which would you take, 650s or 991 turbo?

the 12c/650 platform is a lot better in the wet than you would think it would be....."BUT" the problem is that you are taking apples for apples with brake steer, against,4 wheel drive, rear wheel steer, engine mounts, and the most advanced torque vectoring system on any car. So yes the 991tts rules....

Quite a few for sale at OPCs...13 out of 17 TTs are 991s....does this suggest prices are a touch ambitious I wonder and due for more than a seasonal correction towards this year end.....confused

Also, Out of the 13 for sale, apart from one they are all 13 reg cars some coming up to year old, and when you take into account that 8-9k discount from the list price was offered on these cars, then according to the advertised prices, they have hardly dropped a penny.

Like I said residuals are strong on this car

3 year Residuals will be about as good as the last model. Breezeblock off a sky scraper. Or in the 991 turbos case, blimp off a skyscraper. Sorry, it's the ugliest 911 ever made. It might be one of the fastest and most capable but pretty she ain't.

Do you buy a car because it is 'pretty'? Or because it drives beautifully? The latter for me though if it has both all the better..
