tter and bTotally OTT , but inevitable when what starts as an enthusiasts forum mutilates into a commercial concern.
Same tosh happens over on www.pprune.org a pilots forum I belong to, except the bans are usually of max 1mth duration.
Haymarket (or whoever the "corporates" are) certainly know how to generate enthusiasm. . . . . .

A definite over reaction by the moderators.
They are Haymarket employees after all - they'll never have their salaries at risk for saying "No" but they will for saying "Yes."
They probably fear being called into their Line Manager's office, him taking that image out of context, parading it before them & asking "Is this acceptable on our site? Now tell me why you should keep your job?"
But that sort of behaviour is to miss the point entirely - "CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING!"

I was showing the pic round my local last night. Got a good reception.
Edited to add - The car Ed has bought is thoroughly sorted. Yes it was for sale a long time ago privately but it was still on its original, untouched engine, which made it over priced in my eyes.
It has since had an engine rebuild as far as I'm aware so that makes it a much better buy.
C4 not for everyone but still a nicely done car.

What a great pity. Nice posts from a guy who clearly has issues with not owning pork !
He has given much to Pistonheads and deserves better treatment from the mods that this.

I do not know him and never met him but we all make poor judgements I think the mods are guilty of this by banning him

Yeah he is a top bloke and believe a few guys on here have met him at a few shows, larger than life character and certainly has an eye for a nice Porsche, he must have the record for numbers owned.
Daft thing is the site could do a great editorial on his ownership experience!
The mods do need to lighten up, apparently he has been warned before?? but the odd rude picture is just light hearted banter like mentioned earlier there worse stuff put on this site coupled with the trolls larking about.
Yeah the C4 isn't to everybodies taste like the GT2 or 930 all subjective and all great cars, the Phil Raby car he appears to have bought is really nice and knowing Crimp it will be a cracker!!

Yes, bring back Crimpy, I've met him a couple of tImes, first time he bought my LHD 3.3 964 Turbo off me some years ago, and had a good conversation with him at Lotherton Hall meet a couple of weeks ago, great nice guy.
