Hi Guys, can anyone recommend a sensibly priced place for Porsche rental within London area.
We haved looked at Avis etc but stumbling block seems to be price and taking car to France.

I have a good middle aged professional friend who would like to join us with his wife for a weekend in Le Touquet with porsche club france, and is in need of a car for the weekend, nothing flash an old Boxster would suffice, equally if any dealer or owner here would consider renting out there Porsche please get in touch. deposit, insurance etc all covered.

Bit of a long shot but you never know.

Thanks

Not strictly London area I know, but www.drivesouthwest.co.uk certainly have a few Porsche cars on their fleet and pricing seems good..

If I remember correctly the guy who owns it is a PHer (MrH?) so maybe worth a call.

If an old Boxster would suffice... Buy one, use it and resell on return might be more viable than rental options?

I would have thought this would be a viable option if the people were willing to put a little bit of effort in to find and sell. I imagine if spending say £1k hiring a Porsche for a few days is an option for them, then tying up £7k or 8k for a month or so of ownership might be doable? Even if the end cost was he same, youd still at least get to spend more time enjoying the car <checkspiggybank smile> Could maybe come to some arrangement with a dealer about buy back value.

Wouldn't want to rent their Boxster - its the original prototype and apparently only produces 9bhp. Although strangely it has a PDK gearbox.

Its sloppy isn't it. Why can't companies get these basics right?
