Hi I have a 1985 2.5 944 (not turbo) I've been trying to find a fuel line which fits from the fuel pump to the fuel filter, I have found a part number 944 356 041 07 which I believe is the correct one but cannot find anyone who supplies it. The nearest I've found is 951 356 041 07 which I am told is for the 944 turbo what is the difference and would this fit my car? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Any good?

If no luck (it would appear that the part is discontinued - no evidence of part number superseded) then you can always have the part made up at a service centre for commercial vehicle hydraulic bits.
Keep the existing fittings as they may be re-used.

Thanks that's something I will take a look at, whole I'm replacing fuel lines and filters (because the car had been stood for 2 years ) I will check the pump. Is this ok to do by applying a direct feed from a battery for a second or two as when I first turned the car over after replacing the DME relay I could not hear the pump? Even though the car ran for a very short time probably due to the age of the petrol.
