They weren't 'built' as such, they were cobbled together in 1992 in order to sell the remaining unsold 1991 S2s. No 944s were built in 1992, only 968s.

If you are referring to the SE, I am not sure this treads water. They only made 15. Its not like they tarted up 2000 cars that were sitting in a field.

Its a fact, irrespective of opinion to the contrary. I was a 944 and 968 owner in 1992/1993 so I was particularly interested in the cars and know this to be a fact.
