As per title, with the values of 911's on a seemingly continuous march North does anyone know how Porsche's extended family, RUF, are doing? Specifically the RUF CTR.

A rare car with only 28 made (correct me if I'm wrong?) and some pretty insane performance figures. Have they been 'realised' by the collectors yet or are they still somewhat under the radar? I'm not a prospective buyer but am interested to know what more informed people think or know about this topic.

A great car and I suppose any excuse to bring this video up again! biggrin

I have no clue as to what these are worth today, but I am pretty sure it wont be cheap!

I would imagine they will be worth an eye watering amount.

I recently met Alois Ruf and he confirmed that the prices of these cars have increased quite a bit over the last years. As it's a very small amount of cars and owners tend to know one another prices are discussed in private.

My personal guesstimate would be that they hover around the special Porsche level of the same age. 964 RS 3.8s, 993 RS CS, etc.

For reference, here's an original BTR for sale in Germany

Converted? So its not a RUF then. Its a Porsche with some RUF bits on it.

Not the same thing. That doesn't mean its not a nice car, but its not a RUF.

I guess that's why it's so cheap - the real thing would surely be 3 or 4 times as much if not more

Only ever seen one sell and it was 120k 12-18 months ago. Can only assume that looks very cheap now.

The car above is not a yellowbird it doesn't have the CTR twin turbo, twin intercooler engine. Being built by RUF though, it's probably fekking awesome nevertheless.

Not sure how hot these cars are, a BTR 2 (built by RUF Germany) also sold about 18 month ago for only 35k and it had been on ebay (US) a couple of times by then.

I had a blast in the Viper Green one that was for sale about 5/6 years ago -the last one I saw for sale.

They wanted 99k for it, was for sale for ages - went to another dealer (Box911 in Keston) who had it up for 89k - it sold and went to Holland from memory although I don't know what hey got for it in the end.

great respect for finding a way to post that video !! ... perhaps my fav ring video ever

excessive showboating driving or not - those split second corrections ... just... ooouf. ill be back, need to go change smile

re values - can report a 2012 low millage car went for e215k
im not “too” convinced on futures(read car going ballistic), no doubt a collector’s item yes and with only 50 or so made? - appreciation is almost guaranteed

imv - with singer etc easily making similar cars today,,,, not sure where that leaves the ctr

That was £69,995 at one point.
I posted a massive thread on it when I viewed it
