Errrr is this a joke?

Personally I think it's quite nice and a lot of money has been spent. The "rust" looks a lot more like some undersealing product that has got where it should not have got, perhaps even the heat of the exhaust caused that.
But nevertheless as for the price, again personally the car is neither fish nor fowl if I wanted a pre IB car I would buy a pre IB car no problems at that money and less for a really really nice one.
As soon as this car starts ageing, any value relating to the recent resto will be wiped off and you are left with a used IB car that has been modded to look like a pre IB car.
In other words a large part of the car's worth (whatever it is) is tied up to it's newness, which will wear off rapidly.

You've hinted at bad things regarding PS in your various Pistonheads sign-in/usernames, do you have a particular problem with them as it smacks of a vendetta? Never had dealings with PS personally but mrcooke from there always cam across well to me.If you're going to hint at wrongdoing, would it not show a bit more minerals to come out and say it?
That's not to say that the car linked doesn't look like a rediculous price btw, it's just you have been known in many of your past usernames to come out with a right old load of rubbish once you get it in your head to try & rubbish a firms reputation eh Bridey0
I saw a PS car at Howard Wise cars a few days ago. Dark Blue 964 back date. LHD for £80k. It was okay but even at £30k in my view it would be expensive. I think the workmanship on these later cars like in the OP posts is better than the earlier back dates like the one I saw at HWC. Panel gaps etc were pretty average on the 964 back date I saw a few days ago
I've had four 911s from Paul over the years. All have been high quality, sensibly priced and honestly described with any known issues scrupulously pointed out. The quality of Paul's aftercare is second to none and a more straightforward person to deal with I have never met.
All the sniping on this thread is a bit play-ground really. I don't like these sort of evocation cars personally - they're neither one thing or the other (and would be too rich for my blood anyway) - but there is clearly a market for them and, having seen them close up, there's no doubt that Paul does them very well

If Fakko does have a genuine issue with PS so what? This is an open forum but sadly some posts are not deemed suitable by certain people and are then deleted. He probably has to be careful what he says. From what I heard from a friend he was a very good customer of him and has bought and sold a couple of cars with him before so even more reason for him to feel he has been kicked in the teeth. I spoke to Sam on a few occasions and always found him to be a nice helpful chap personally but I can't say the same about others there. There are guys such as JZM whom you would find it very difficult to find one bad post said against and then the opposite end of the scale guys like HWM who you would find it hard to see a good post said about them.
I will be at Brands at some point over the weekend and if this guy is there I will confront him of what I heard anyway.
Sure this post will get deleted by the powered that be too but in the case why not delete the post that pointed out the rust in one of the pictures too then...

Err to use modern parlance "geezer's 'avin a propa bubble bath"
Take one knocked out G50 coupe.
Totally bdize it. Then egg it up with some dicky syrupy speil. Blah blah blah.
Then declare it's worth 140 large. Err no old boy it don't quite work quite like that. You can't polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter. The G50 is a magnificent machine. What in the name of the lord is this abortion?!
30 grand motor to some mug poontah that likes the retro look. Tip. Buy a mint G50 coupe for late 40's and a nice long bonnet T or E for late £80's.
When the crash comes this sort of thing will be worth nothing. Not one thing or the other....
(Mind you PS also has a colour changed 915 coupe for big money too - one born every minute...)
