Thanks for the info and good find Matchbox80s.

So its a 997 Cup car?

The owner of the car is a friend of my female frind's husband.
Hopefully he knows what he's doing :-) with trailering it as he's going a long way with it.
Not heard anything so they made it there safe, think they return tomorrow.

Don't think so - no pins for the engine cover.

...I am very concerned about whether your friend has trailered a 911 before!
The car should be loaded the other way around (reversed on to the trailer) so that there is more weight on the tow nose (rear engined car needs to be the other way round). That trailer is likely to swerve all over the place all the way to the ring!

I am also not sure from the picture about how the straps have been tied...may be they are ok, but then given the above para, I am concerned there too!
+1

Very dangerous way to load a 911 on a trailer. Also, as mentioned above, please use proper wheel straps with ratchet straps to pull the wheel straps tight. That looks like an (expensive) accident waiting to happen...

Sold it, because as 991RS on the way (hopefully) and the Gen.2 used prices are ridiculously high here . Keeping the earlier green car permanently and we will see how the next one compares. I expect a totally different process. Can't stay in the same place forever.
