New 981 Cayman discounts and lead times?
Discussion
Thinking about getting back into a Porsche Cayman either 2.7 or S after a year selling my Cayman R.
Been for a test drives in both and although the 3.4S was faster and more flexible engine, the 2.7 was still great fun on the road... I'm wanting this to be my only car so wanting a bit less hardcore than before the previous R.
My dealer has told me that if I order one now, it will be March before delivery and also that they don't give discounts on new Porsches!
Does anyone know anyone willing to do good deals on them or is it a case of full price the only option? They have also told me that it's a £3k deposit which I forgot to ask if it was refundable.
I do have a p/x but they said it would have to be valued in March which also leads to a big unknown of how much equity I will have as deposit

I assume the qtr end is the usual Dec, Mar, Jun, Sep...
Thanks for that... I guess I can wait although I have seen a pre registered one (14 plate) that I like the spec of but the ticket price is only £1.8k less than a new one and seeing that Porsche are currently giving £1.5k deposit contribution seems not a good deal at all... Might see if they are willing to discount on that one...

List the full spec when you have time please!
Decided to limit budget so decision was to either load up a 2.7 or bare bones 3.4 S and the latter decision was made.List the full spec when you have time please!

All in I got more than 10%
Well done. I didn't get any discount...but then I was as keen as mustard and ordered it back in November 2012 when it was launched at the LA Motorshow!I think I took delivery of one of the first 2.7's in the country.....
Oh...all the extra options I could have specc'd with a 10% discount! But then again, I don't feel it lacks anything. 19 months and 40K on, I am still loving it and there is no other car I would rather own.
Hello fellows,
I need your assistance with getting a decent offer on Cayman.
As you see from my nicname I'm on Cyrpus, and market here is very small, they probably sold 3-4 Caymans 981 since launch.
I went to my only dealer today to finalise my spec and get a final offer, which was not very generous...
I told that in UK I'd get easily around 10% off ... what was many times mentioned here and he agreed to match any offer from any UK dealer... Thus
Do any of you have good relationships with any UK dealer to make a quotation with a good discount (hopefully around 10%)on my spec Cayman so I could ask my local dealer to match?
I can't really call all of them myself from here asking for offer, I'm afraid.
Really hope to get some help form you, guys!!!
