Genuinely excited about this car, more than I have been for any car for a long time .It's size makes it ideal for uk roads ,the car it is based on is brilliant and with c.400bhp its going to be more than quick enough without becoming almost unusuable like the current super cars and super saloons boasting near 600bhp. I think its going to be sensational .

Techart rip-off FTW !!! That bodes well.Edit for clarity - my thought seeing that wing, which looks exactly like the tech art thing was "oh man", and not "oh yes!"

Give me the front end yes - and maybe the little ducktail that we've seen on the some of the spy-shots.
That's it - no huge wing necessary for the road car IMO.
If the ducktail becomes available via tech equipment - I may get it for my GTS
You could argue an adjustable rear wing and suspension are both hallmarks of a motorsport bred road car from Porsche. It looks like we are going to get them both finally on the Cayman.
The ducktail is a Porsche clubsport type addition not really for a modern road/track Porsche like the GT4, that's why I think it is making an appearance on the new Boxster and not the Cayman.

This was almost at my point but also feeds in to what some of the other posters were getting at too.The ducktail is a Porsche clubsport type addition not really for a modern road/track Porsche like the GT4, that's why I think it is making an appearance on the new Boxster and not the Cayman.
From the test mules it looked like there may have been a chance that Porsche were going to put a wing on there that was motorsport based. ie with an aerofoil profile and some proper sized end plates. Something that was on with a no nonsense function first type of approach that was designed to do something.
Instead there is that wing in the reveal. It has none of those qualities and is literally a rip-off of the techart wing. IF this it the final wing its hardly inspiring confidence. A week will tell all though.
edit for clarity. This photo is the techart wing am mentioning in this post and my one earlier incase you haven't seen one and can't be bothered using google. The Porsche wing is the one on the yellow car earlier in the thread.

Maybe the mule is possibly the RS then? And the normal GT4 will have no adjustable options? The mule seemed to have the holes in all the right places...
When you look at the pic there with reference against the wing on the yellow car it looks pretty clear its the same wing with come cardboard taped round the uprights and the ends for disguise.fioran0 said:

Yeah, its not exaclty the same but close enough to make one sigh, and also at this stage to mention the Techart one in reference against it.In some ways, I wish there were no differences and one could assume someone was having some fun there. Sticking a rear end out with a techart kit as a prank to see if anyone notices and watch the internet explode.
Sadly it looks like it might be it, and the result it that it may be about to get a tuner special rather than something proper.
heres a further away, google images view of the techart version

If you have a copy of Real Racing 3, it looks like the GT4 will be revealed simultaneously as a drivable car in the game.

Lol - this was my exact thought process, and I was going to post the same yesterday when i first thought it - but after closer inspection it look different enough from the TechArt and the same as the black mules, especially the last ones below, to be the real thing. I was also thinking about the lights - as they are the standard lights and not the smoked ones as per the GTS. But again the most recent mule pics have the Red lights also - so confirmed in it in my mind as the real car and probably the car and colour that will be announced in the predicted press release next week.In some ways, I wish there were no differences and one could assume someone was having some fun there. Surely they can't let it out on those turbo wheels though....
