All new Aluminium double wishbone rear suspension? Oooh yes please - front end from a GT3, GT3 brakes, club sport option, manual only. God it's like they read my mind.
Reading a bit further, I think cmoose is right per above. rear suspension is not double wishbone or multi link but just an adaptation of the existing machperson struts. Excerpt from above:
The front axle and suspension are borrowed from the 911 GT3 and the rear axle and forged aluminium double wishbone suspension are completely new. Dampers are taken from the 911 GT3. The electric steering system from the 911 GT3 does make it onto the Cayman GT4 but is given new software.
the stiching option adds it for you and should be all you need but that leave you with silver caps so I went for Caron trim
there are 3 stiching options which add leather for you, in silver, red or yellow.
Interior Color
Leather Interior, Black (Stitching in Guards Red)

Deviated Stitching i.c.w. Leather Interior
always comes down to stiching lol

Yellow or blue for me spoke to my dealer this morning, everything looks good to go. My only issue is the following off the German site configurator
To get the clubsport package, it's
€2800 seats
€3900 clubsport pack
So essentially you've got to consider the car is £70k before options. Add in sat nav (if for no other reason than to annoy mrdemon and you're going above £75k

If you spec this, can you remove the harness(es) and use the ordinary seatbelts for road driving? Looks like the receptor/buckle is there. I guess the cage could get in the way though. How does this work on recent edition GT3's?LaurasOtherHalf said:
Oh, and why on earth do the fking "lightweight" buckets come with electric height adjustment?
LOL... thing is, it does answer the problem that people have with them - either too high (especially with helmet) or too low.Fixed Rake is usually ok for most people once they get used to them - for height adjustment it would then have been shims.

"The flat-six engine is equipped with direct fuel injection (DFI), VarioCam Plus and integrated dry-sump lubrication. These are supplemented by a variable intake manifold with switchable resonance valve for a healthy supply of air. From its capacity of 3.8 litres, it delivers an imperious 283 kW (385 hp) at 7,400 rpm. Maximum torque of 420 Nm is available in the range from 4,750 to 6,000 rpm."
So does this basically mean it IS a dry sump?

I will be using it as a every day car like I did my R, I have to sit in it and look at it, don't want a plastic pig inside, did that for years with Lotus. All my porkers have had full leather. unlike the 80% 991 GT3 sales with chairs I will be ordering 918 buckets :-p

who cares, it works on track , they have fitted an extra oil cooler, no one really cares about the sump do they, not even a die hard like me.So does this basically mean it IS a dry sump?
IT will take me to the shops and allow me to do a few track days in it, the main BIG thing for me was GT3 steering or better and adjustable LCA.
