So every time a particular car is mentioned he posts more or less the same response . . . And that has annoyed you . . . Hmmmm.
I am not annoyed, just don't like people to post false info.lets have a GT4 pic to start the page
I guess I'm still one of the relatively small number of fortunate people who hadn't been advised whether they have or haven't got a car. The dream lives on for the moment

Yes it is, system open, spec plugged in, order number and Comms number spat out.
comms number don't mean squat and no one has a order number yet, I don't know of any UK orders who have had to pay the 10% and have a full order. Why do you keep posting crap !
I am in Geneva for the show, would be good to meet up to share notes.

For the record I've also got porsche hospitality passes at geneva, although I did request them 12 months ago!

Being a Yaris driver I think I might pop into Motortrend Tunbridge tomorrow to have a chat about the newly styled Auris.
It's a long shot but there is a WRC Yaris coming out in 2017 and I don't want to put in a LOI plus a crisp £10 note deposit only for Arthur and Doris to bump me down the list as he has 15 Motability cars all from them.
The wife swapping posts made me chuckle. Keep it up guys, always a good read. Don't get annoyed with each other, have some Dunkirk spirit. Am I allowed to mention that on this Germanic thread?

It's not 'weird' at all, I have a mate in a BP garage I pop in to see for a Ginsters, every Saturday evening around 8pm. That's just fking weird...
He sent me a photo saying thanks....but it's me who should be thanking him !.

Yeah, might think he's your mate Rob but will he phone you when they get the 'limited-edition' Pepsi bottles in stock? Or do you have to submit a LOI like all regular 'occasional' buyers? Or, does his co-worker - Rasheed bump you off the list for Dave who regularly buys his Anti-freeze and barbecue coal?? A salesman's NOT your mate. Sorry. fwiw the Ginsters will give you terrible heart burn anyway

I know that a salesman's not a mate (trust me, I know that very well) but he's more likely to secure you a GT4 than anyone on this board. Relationships matter in business, even with car salesman. Every PHer enjoys car banter so I really don't see what's weird about chatting with someone who has a common interest. Sorry but, although I own one, the Yaris doesn't come up in conversation because it's of little interest. I do however enjoy conversations about Porsche's GT4, GT4RS, GT3 RS, 991.2 GT3/RS, GT2 RS etc ... There are a lot of people on this board complaining they're not getting a GT4 despite early 'letters of intent', deposits paid etc ... I'm not one of them.

As I said before, I'd prefer to mine coal than work in an OPC, and deal with the swivel eyed LOI lot trotting in to waste more of my time..... horrendous.
Back on track about the actual car....
What spec has anybody gone for?

No Clubsport, but with PCCB, and smokers package... interesting choices, wouldn't be mine but I can certainly see the logic of no-CS +PCCB if it's a pure road car. What spec has anybody gone for?

Just for fun, this would probably be mine:

Though none of the colours really take me. I'd really want Mexico or Riviera...

We must remember, OPC or Arnold Fart salesman, they are no different, their next sale is their next lunch. I thought I had good relationships with a couple of OPC and if I had said 'put me in car A for £500 a month' they would be my best mate. However when you tell them your not paying 9% apr and you want a fair trade in price it's in the 'to difficult to do' box.
I got lucky with the third OPC 500 miles from home who sourced me my 991, GT3. I've given my local OPC quite a lot of business in the past and still have the Gt3 and my Turbo maintained there but for some reason it means not a lot when the chips are down: disappointing.
Good luck to those who are waiting to hear about a car.

I always spec the smokers package for no reason other than it covers the annoying hole in the centre console!Just for fun, this would probably be mine:

It wil purely be a road car so no point in the clubsport for me.

Does this happen alot ? I think it happened on my 991 GT3. Car trailered to 1st owner, then trailered back to OPC 6 months later, and sold at a large premium.
I read this today. http://www.automotiveblog.co.uk/2015/01/porsches-d...DMC2 said:

Has anyone felt the extent of the weight saving benefit of PCCB vs steel by comparing the handling (especially bump control) and steering feel and response of each system on the same model car? I'm confirmed for a GT4 by my dealer and intend to use it mainly on road (I live in the French Alps where there there are plenty of good roads but no race circuits). I assume Porsche has set up the suspension to work well with the standard brakes but if PCCB could transform the handling and steering from great to legendary maybe it would be worth the exorbitant extra cost. What spec has anybody gone for?
