Interesting news from EVO regarding the possibility of a GT4 RS in the future. The article also seems to confirm that there will be a 2 year run of the GT4 rather than 1

Speaking in Geneva, Preuninger said, ‘This is just the beginning of the era. I would be interested in doing a Cayman GT4 RS version, but at the moment we didn’t even talk about such a thing. If the customers call for something like this we could think about it.
‘We underestimated the success of the Cayman GT4, which shows that we were right with the concept. In England, within three days two years of cars were sold. It happened in Sweden, it happened in Germany…everywhere.’
Preuninger also explained his decision to only offer a manual gearbox on the Cayman GT4, saying ‘We put a manual in it for good reason – to show people that we listened.’ Clearly, then, Porsche Motorsport is responsive to its customers’ demands. If enough people call for a Cayman GT4 RS, it might just happen…

I'd have a GT4 RS. It would be an awesome motor. Have to save for it though, I'm sure it'll be mega bucks!
Best put your LOI in know and have you got callouses on your knees yet?Amathus said:

Does that mean they're still available in Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland? boxsey said:

So in summary all the people who said they decided to build so few GT4's to keep the brand image up were talking baloney and those that said that Porsche fecked up were completely right.
Porsche is here to make money for the shareholders, not the speculators, but they seem to have done just that with this miscalculation. And pissed off a lot of people who just wanted to buy the car for proper reasons.
I don't think the Cayman GT series will be able to carry a high price weighting over time like the 911 does. However the road tests are yet to come.

What I expected! The "transmission whine" sounds strange. MPSC2 are rated 71dB just like the MPSS, so I doubt that makes a difference.
"Conversation at speed is a pain."? Sounds like they are exaggerating.
" A stick is an imperfect way of changing gears, but with the friendly and gruff little GT4’s quick and accurate shifter, it’s the exchange of a few accelerative tenths of a second for a lifetime of delight"
that will create even more demand. :}
Stiff = typically means multiple owners. 6RS cousin.

I think he was one of those lifestyle drivers they invite along, his readers probably travel by Etihad first class and think something overly large on his wife's finger will mean he has treated her ok. So I think he's not a good writer to base judgements on to be honest. However the ride has been termed stiff by Porsche also, and they live in Germany, so that is one thing to keep an eye out for on proper reviews
I still think it will be like pouring Jersey milk on your Frosties rather than semi skimmed though.
