With pictures like this I dunno how anybody can not love the GT4 in Racing Yellow! cloud9
On the basis of all the studio shots (some nice downloads on the dealer websites of the GT4 in a concrete garage) I've been leaning towards yellow but I don't know whether it's because it suits the GT4 or if it's just the studio lighting and photo colour saturation - I haven't been as keen on the daylight shots or other Caymans in yellow. However since seeing the photos on Chris Harris's review I'm thinking silver - it shows the curves the most. https://grrc.goodwood.com/road/drives-and-rides/po... silver. Hopefully I'll get a better idea at Geneva tomorrow although I've seen only yellow at the show in photos.

Never been great with colour combinations but to my mind Sapphire Blue and the yellow of the Carbon brake calipers works really well, would have thought that yellow stitching would work as the interior highlight too.
agree, that's what I have decided upon.

Will do min 2 max 4 track days a year (Spa and the Nordschiefe), am I making a mistake to spec PCCB's ? Had them before on a gen1 997 RS and they stood up to track use very well. Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough !
To PCCB or not, that is the question? Steve, what do you counsel?

Does look stunning in yellow but I think I'm too old for it (45 years old) My son who is 18 is telling me that yellow is the only colour!

I am leaning towards guards red or sapphire blue, both with black wheels
I'm not a fan of yellow , but if I was I wouldn't factor my age into the equation , (46) , and as has been said it's quite a dramatic thing that's going to attract some attention, it's your money buy what makes you happy.

I was convinced i would go GT Silver after seeing it on the 911 GT3 but it just didn't look as 'wow' as i had hoped - not in the pictures anyway. White looks ok but still looks a bit dull to me. Yellow is just not my cup of tea! Sapphire Blue looks awesome, i strongly considered it when purchasing my Cayman GTS last year. I just don't think it's a very 'Porsche' colour if that makes any sense?

I went with Agate Grey on my Cayman GTS which is great but i think the GT4 should have a loud colour. Plus i already have another grey car.

I've never been a fan of Guards Red on modern Porsches, never been a fan of red in general to be honest. Think it looks great on the classics like a 964 and 928. However, on this Cayman GT4 i think it's sold it to me for the very first time. It looks stunning!

Well I'm 47 and I don't feel too old for it. In fact quite the opposite, when I was younger I was much more concerned with resale values and frequently opted for the safety of Black and Silver. I am finding that as I get older I just think "f**k it, life is too short so go for what you really want!"

Sapphire Blue is lovely, but Im not 100% sure it's at home as a GT colour. Plus you could only really go for the silver stitching as both Red and Yellow wouldn't look that good. Yellow stitching is the "unique offering" of the GT4 so seems a shame not to make the most of it, but that means the exterior really has to be Yellow, Black or possibly White.

Best picture I have found so far of the Satin Black wheels (from the PH review). I'm thinking they would look damn good on Racing Yellow car too!

We need to get the stiching debate up an running on this topic whistle Over 150 pages in and its not started yet.

Here is my spec for build this year. http://www.porsche-code.com/PGEGBHI6 Bit worried that the yellow door pulls, yellow stiching and yellow belts might clash if the colours are not just spot on. Anybody got any experience in these matters? Incidentally I am 53 and I am defiantly not to old for it! Its going to get royally spanked when I get my hands on it.

I remember reading somewhere on one of the zillion threads, that someone saw the car at Geneva and said the interior yellow bits are different to the paint.

That is the problem with a yellow car! The calipers are a different shade of yellow as well especially once they have been up to 300 centigrade a few times! Travesty if the three yellow interior bits are different shades as well! The little OCD bit of me would explode.

Here's a debate worth adding into the mix .... if you spec yellow stitching with club sport, passenger 6 point and yellow belts does that mean the harnesses come in yellow instead of red?

My spec is white and includes the above but no confirmation if yellow 6 points can be ordered as yet. If it's red harnesses only I don't think it would work too well with the yellow.

I think solid colours suit GT cars better than metallics so that doesn't leave many to choose from. I have a white Cayman S now that I'm changing for a GT4 so not keen on white again.

Think I'm going to go for red and black with carbon bits inside.

Lol. If I was stood next to someone at Geneva and they came out with a comment like the stitching was a different shade.... they'd have to have a flick to the bks biggrin

Its a pain but they come in red. However since I only use them on the track its easy enough to take them out for the rest of the time they just unclip.

Agree, I was set on black, but the red seems to look perfect on the GT4 showing off all aspects of the car, it just looks right...

I've seen posts about later cars being offered with PDK and also a possible RS version - are both just speculation or have Porsche actually confirmed anything?

Thanks, makes sense as you say with the car being so over subscribed. I guess a PDK would have shorter ratios than the manual addressing the only aspect being questioned with the GT4....
