As one of the apparently 'key criteria', being those that arent going to spin them on so shortly after purchase, will this not hinder your chance of getting an RS as I'd assume it would be coming shortly after the normal one?
Or will the RS be based on the next gen Cayman?
But my OPC or Porsche would hardly see it as punting a GT4 quick if it's for another Porsche 12 months laterOr will the RS be based on the next gen Cayman?

But we are talking about someone who hated the long gearing and harsh ride (amongst other things) of his GT3, of which the GT4 appears to have in abundance.I wonder how long Porsche expect owners to keep the cars, if they are indeed going to enthusiasts only

I would agree about that, if you didn't like a 997 GT3 then I doubt you would like the GT4. I'm guessing it's going to be a stiff and twitchy little bugger on British B roads.I wonder how long Porsche expect owners to keep the cars, if they are indeed going to enthusiasts only
I have just received an email from my OPC who have said that they have just had their dates. I am number 3. They said that number 1 has been given an August build slot and numbers 2 & 3 have been given a September slot. They say that my car will be built in September and could be delivered late September or early October. They say that they will need my final spec at the start of July.
I would appreciate some advice/opinions on 2 things please. Are people going to be specifying the chrono package and secondly, will the bucket seats be easy to live with and get in and out of? bearing in mind that I am quite a big guy.

I sat in the bucket seats in the display car at Geneva - I'd say they are comfier, more adjustable and more usable than previously - they are the new ones - same as the 918 and GT3RS not the 991 GT3. You can't get them heated (like in the GT3) and you can't officially put a child seat on the passenger seat (an issue for me likely not for most) so I am getting adaptive sports seats instead. Although they buckets looked so smart on the display car I've been having second thoughts. I know the experience centre have ordered theirs with the buckets and club sport package so you'll be able to try that before confirming build spec I should think. I have spec'd sport chrono too FWIW.I would appreciate some advice/opinions on 2 things please. thanks for that. were the buckets easy to get in and out of?Sports chrono as far as I can see is the little clock and the app/timing function. Not something I'll be speccing at 1k.
The buckets are extremely comfortable, a bit of a pain to get in and out of, but the secret is to move your seat back before getting out. If you were using it all day every day then don't get buckets, otherwise they are amazing to look at and sit in.
