just had email from OPC. Full bucket seats ad Club sport package are now subject to an 8 week delay in relation to quota month and, as already stated on here, sapphire blue, carmine red and carrera metallic white are an 'Order Stop'
This is making an already limited choice even more difficult

what are peoples opinions on Agate grey, black wheels, full leather with grey stitch, yellow seat belts and yellow interior trim? I am struggling with spec a little as the colours are quite limited.
Depends whether you want an exciting car to have an exciting colour, one that most cars couldn't get away with, or whether you'd rather travel incognito (at least as much as you can in a GT4). From the photos at Portimao I was thinking silver until I saw it in yellow at Geneva and decided yellow suited the car.If you do go for Agate (or yellow) I would choose yellow stitching rather than trim and belts. I think interior trim painted in bright colours always looks superficial (even more than normal) and garish and I don't think inertia reel belts are a sexy enough item to pay extra to draw attention to them and in yellow they might eventually get dirty.
There were no GT4 wheels in black at Geneva but I did compare the grey GT4 wheels to black GTS wheels and thought the black (an almost matt satin) looked drab by comparison.
Happy deliberations.

just received this. Anyone know if ORDER STOP means a temporary stop or permanently gone. what a bummer
Cayman GT4:
1) Club Sport Package (003) and Full Bucket Seats (P11) - both of these options are subject to an 8 week delay in relation to quota month
2) The following Exterior colours are on Order Stop and therefore not available to order and must choose an alternative colour:
Sapphire Blue (N1), Carmine Red (0L), Carrara White Metallic (2Y).
911 GT3 RS:
Unfortunately, the factory have announced a longer production process in the start up phase of this model. As a consequence vehicle's could be delayed by up to four weeks in relation to quota month.
Full Bucket Seats (P11) are subject to an 8 week delay in relation to quota month.

Errr is that buckets seats AND club sport or bucket seats OR club sport delays the order by 8 weeks? This is making an already limited choice even more difficult
I would wait 8 weeks for the bucket seats, but not for clubsport cage. I wonder if this is part of the reason why the 918 buckets are not offered on the Boxster Spyder...

slightly different question here, but does anyone have any good leads for a sensibly priced insurer for a French-plated car to be driven mainly in France (but with the odd excursion to the uK).
Have same use plan as you. I used to have a 997 turbo insured in France with Axa France. Fell foul of the automatic premium renewal that was and MAY still be the system. Basically you must advise your insurer by recorded delivery if you intend not to renew. If you do not you become legally obliged to pay the new premium even if you have sold the car. It is your responsibility to supply evidence of the sale to obtain a refunded. If you have had any useful recommendations I would be pleased if you passed them on to me

I am a big fan of grey cars, and I like the agate on the 991s but for some reason I saw an agate cayman gts at the dealers and didnt like it .Im just going down now to look at a cayman in gt silver to see what that looks like.anonymous said:

Agreed. I'm buying the GT4 for the chassis. Actually you could replicate the peaky 996.1/996.2 GT3 power curve with your right foot. Given that the GT4 has more power at all revs up to peak power at the same revs you just need to hold off flattening the pedal until around 7000 rpm. In addition, at 2500rpm you have 20% more torque than the 996.2 and 30% more than the 996.1 for more relaxed speed.mad ferret said:
I'm fed up too here, my colour choice was going to be one of those 3 and my build is Sept.
May go GT Silver now but not speccing the Buckets so I'm going to sort my build asap with the OPC and hopefully it may come forward a little
I also have a September build. I asked my dealer earlier if I didn't spec the buckets and others did would it bring my build forward but unfortunately was told that it wouldn'tMay go GT Silver now but not speccing the Buckets so I'm going to sort my build asap with the OPC and hopefully it may come forward a little
