It affects gt3 rs buyers as well,
Do you think it's coming down to production issues for these particular buckets?

Copied from another Porsche forum:

Subject: Production Information

Dear All

I am pleased to confirm that allocation for Cayman GT4 and 911 GT3 RS has now been released.

With this in mind, it is important to bring to your attention the following production restrictions:

Cayman GT4:

1) Club Sport Package (003) and Full Bucket Seats (P11) - both of these options are subject to an 8 week delay in relation to quota month

2) The following Exterior colours are on Order Stop and therefore not available to order and must choose an alternative colour:

Sapphire Blue (N1), Carmine Red (0L), Carrara White Metallic (2Y).

911 GT3 RS:

Unfortunately, the factory have announced a longer production process in the start up phase of this model. As a consequence vehicle's could be delayed by up to four weeks in relation to quota month.

Full Bucket Seats (P11) are subject to an 8 week delay in relation to quota month.

Please forward this to your sales team.

Apologies for any inconvenience these changes in production may cause"

Any news on whether allocation has been increased at all?

Has anyone who had previously been told they wouldn't get a car had a call to tell them they now have a build a lot if they want it?

Yes I have - but on the condition I trade in my GT3!

So I think I will stick the the GT3.

need advice, Im specing up for locking in on Monday, I have july build with late august delivery so will make it September plate so there is no restriction on colour or delay on buckets so going with buckets, sapphire blue PCM, phone prep, leather upgrades, problem is im at the top of the my loose ...ish budget and have to decide between sports chrono and xenons(cant have both). Any views on what to do, which would be most desirable resale wize?
Sports Chrono total waste of money, vanity addition only that no one will use. Save the money.

what are peoples opinions on Agate grey, black wheels, full leather with grey stitch, yellow seat belts and yellow interior trim? I am struggling with spec a little as the colours are quite limited.
Looks great on 991GT3 especially with PCCB's

Greetings from South Africa, paid deposit on the 8th of March. Finally received sms from dealership confirming allocation but no build date as of yet. Status updates run via SMS here as everything centralized through one distributor.

Can anyone please confirm the first rhd build dates? Does anyone out there have a confirmed build date for South Africa?

thx

Hi all,

As many have said here Porsche has made a Cayman that people actualy want to buy.
But the handling and allocation of the GT4 stinks its apauling.
Customer service what customer service leaves a nasty taste.
The GT4 seems to be for a few select few with people being bumped.
Customers new and old are not impressed.
Make some more for god sake Porsche.
Keep customers happy.

Dear god have we not got over this yet!!! Let it go. Limited model going to good customers and those that got in early. Are people so childish and spoilt when Rolex do a limited run model?!?

not true i missed out because of my opc has more than any other opc 918 customers and if was not for those customers draw your own conclusions if they are all porsche fans i didnt get a car.
What should have happened is vip cars should have been taken out the uk allocation before allocation to opc !
some one like no names mmentioned is getting a car but never bought a new porsche whereas i have bought 3!where is the fairness in that of cars going to good customers!

Itsybitsy, have you been told a definite no or a maybe in 2016? I was bumped a single spot from 3 to 4 at my OPC but I'll be first in line (apparently), for the future run.

I had a July 2015 slot that I had moved to a 2nd quarter 2016 slot once the US allocations were increased last week.

Hi m33ufo total bump no maybe in 2016 but I can have a 981 Spyder but I feel that is a bit of a consolation prize although it's not a bad car but not what I wanted!imho don't rely on a " you will be first in line in a future run if there is one!"
What rubs me up is allocation to good customers which I understand but how comes someone who has shown no loyalty to porsche UK ie bought a new car gets a gt4 and if all this fairness is to good customers how comes they miss out!
Also just because a buyer spends a large sum of money on an expensive porsche who's to say their next car is something else!

You're right. Nothing is guaranteed until I see a car with my name on it!

A colleague and friend of mine with no history with Porsche or indeed any other marque beyond Toyota and VW, put an online order in to our local OPC after building a GT3 online last August. A few weeks later he was told he'd been allocated a car and he took delivery in November. He paid £105k for a car which is now conservatively £150k. Sometimes it's just about a little bit of luck and being in the right place at the right time.
