Track-only Porsche Cayman GT4 spied
From the article:
We are not sure of what to make of this but chances are this is a track-only version of the recently introduced Cayman GT4. The prototype was spotted undergoing some intense testing at the Monza circuit in Italy and it appears to adopt a lower suspension and rides on race-spec lightweight wheels wrapped around in racing slicks.

Although the likely GT3 RS production numbers will exceed the GT3 and this may also apply to the GT4. Heres hoping.........
How on earth do you come up with this stuff....? There are likely well over 3000 991 GT3s worldwide. If the 991 RS worldwide production exceeds 2000 by a lot it will be a surprise. There are almost 200 991 GT3s in the UK, if there are many over 100 C16 RS cars it will be an even larger surprise.OPCs appear to be being allocated more RS than GT3.
Simples.

Have you got your LOI in for the RS? Mine was put in at the same time as the GT4. I think MS are pretty fair with their allocations - the dates that LOIs were received is logged and is what drives whether or not you get a car.
yes JP, ages ago. behind yours though ! ETA - I'm not holding my breath on that one!

To all GT4 prospective owners that are confirming their spec. What have you gone with?
Here is mine: http://www.porsche-code.com/PGUYZGH8
Im in a holding pattern with the GT silver until the final colour options are confirmed. One OPC was suggesting that certain colours being stopped is usually indicative of new colours to replace them. Sapphire Blue could be being replaced with Aqua Blue for example. He seemed to suggest that model changes happen approx june time so could be orderable from then on.
I was thinking about Clubsport package for track use but wondering if it's a bit overkill. Will it make all the difference on the day? Would it make it more attractive from a resale perspective? I notice the clubsport GT3's command a bit of a premium. I was thinking about using this as a DD but worried the harnesses and roll cage could become a bit tiresome to deal with!
Anyway, look forward to hearing what you're going with. My build date is October but add on 8 weeks for the bucket seat delay!

Seems like a lot of people are opting for the light design package, is it worth it / what does it really consist of? Am I right in saying the interior bulbs are swapped for LED's?
Also, there are three mobile phone options;
Mobile phone preparation
Telephone module
Telephone module with Bluetooth® handset
Which is the one to go for if you just want to hook up your phone via bluetooth and leave your device in your pocket etc.

Looks like race car rather than RS: higher profile slicks on smaller diameter wheels, much more negative camber, much lower ride height, louder exhaust.
Yes, we always knew this was coming. A potential GT4 RS would sit somewhere between the plain vanilla GT4 and this cup car.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
