Anyone know when the GT4 is going to be at the experience centre?

I'm assuming that they'll have one at FOS? Keen to see and hear it in motion, I've got to wait till Dec/Jan before mine arrives.

that spec is subject to 8 week delay from OCT and maybe longer due to the CS pack , cannot see you getting that car in 2015.
Be interesting to see what happens with that as I'd heard the same thing, but as we specced the car some options had flagged delays against them, but the CS pack didn't

Has anyone else in the UK been told they are getting a 2015 car but not been given a build date yet?

I'm getting a bit nervous that my OPC is still saying they have not been given dates yet.

The new 911 will be introduced at the Frankfurt Auto show this September, with the car available first in Europe next spring. The Cayman has historically been introduced about a year later. Things could change, but that has been the pattern.

Just read on the other thread that the 991.2 S will be in German dealers by November, so….

I have a GT4 confirmed for 2015 out the UK after being a valued Porsche client for many years.

I have not read much of this Forum but what I can tell you is that GT division at Porsche are making all GT3RS units and then the same team will move on to GT4 production.

I keep seeing that people think they will be recieving there cars in April, May when this is not possible because production is set to start on the GT4 in June and first cars will be seen end of July Early August. Porsche have now said that the GT3 RS is delayed thus will mean the GT4 is delayed (UK Anyway..). Someone may have already stated every point I have made in the forum previously but thought I would state it again. I do not think my contact at Porsche is wrong on this one..

All the best!

Not sure that is right - there are quite a few people on another Porsche forum that I subscribe to that have confirmed deliveries of their GT4s in early May. They are all LHD cars in Europe however, but your statement doesn't stack up with these people who are still 100% convinced they are getting their cars just 3 weeks from now...

All I can suggest is people are confusing LHD and RHD production runs...

isn't the car made on the standard Cayman production line, as indeed the GT3 RS is made on the standard Zuffenhausan 911 production line ? not sure the GT team have much to do with it at the production stage, just at development and prototype. it's not like the 996 GT3 mk1 which was built at Weissach by the motorsport team.

Well just been into Reading to spec mine, can still change but happy with what I've told them - racing Yellow, buckets, CS pack and a few toys, keeping standard brakes

Early Oct build with, hopefully an October delivery too

Really looking forward to this car, be great to compare it with the Spyder.. now the countdown begins....
Nice spec. With the Spyder not having a GT chassis the GT4 should eat it for feel, precision and braking.

My Spyder has a better power to weight than the GT4, more torque, more adjustment and better sus parts.
I am thinking the GT4 won't even get to have the same feel as my Spyder esp with electric steering the new range has.

be interesting to run them back to back at how fast event.

Sportauto supertest numbers are out I believe. New chap driving though so unsure how comparisons vs older times should be judged.

Your Spyder has better dampers than a GT4? How does it have more adjustment? Does your Spyder have adjustable spring perches? Have you mono-balled all your LCA's and running split LCA's front and rear?

Don't worry yourself over it :-)

I am still getting my GT4 and have a Sept build, time will tell which one I favour.

I venture to suggest the GT4 will the best thing since sliced bread once you have one. smile
