Yes, I've been told by OPC that I should expect delivery late November or first half of December with a November build slot, and that the build slot indicates that the car will have been built not later than the end of that month.
I am allowing 8-10 weeks delay for the CS and Buckets - although remain hopeful that this will reduce - hence anticipating Delivery in Jan/Feb 2016

Unexpectedly got to testdrive the GT4 with the aforementioned spec sheet today. 13°C, wet roads, MPSC2s and not allowed to turn off PSM, not that I wanted to.
Not sure what I can say that the journo's haven't already said.
The car feels compact and wieldy on the road. Engine sounds much nicer than I thought it would. Definitely a bit artificial with the pops and bangs but I loved it regardless, very dramatic as it should be in a car like this. The pull in mid range is very impressive, more than enough to get you into trouble with the cup tyres on wet roads and low temperatures.
Ride is firm, almost harsh in normal mode, the closest thing I can compare it to is my old R56 Cooper S with factory sport suspension option but obviously with much higher quality damping, so not "crashy". Steering does have whiffs of VAG to it but I believe it's one of those things you get used to very quickly and then just completely forget about it.
Rear visibility is surprisingly bad because of the roll bar and wing. I'd really want a rear view camera since the car already had PCM.
I can't really comment on the driving dynamics due to the conditions but it did give me a lot of confidence right away. Having all relevant data (oil temperature, pressure, tyre pressure, etc) in the small instrument cluster LCD is very convenient. Overall a brilliant car.
Over here (living and working in Austria at the moment) a GT4 is more than twice the price of a mint, sub 5k-mile 987 CR due to emission laws and I didn't feel like it is twice the car on the road. If you live in a country with less draconic emission laws and spend a lot of time doing serious track days then the GT4 is a no-brainer.
IMO People looking for a car with "analog feel" may be disappointed but the overall execution of the GT4 is so perfect that even they will be happy.

Visited Porsche Antibes today my car will be delivered next week (only time currently I will not be in France !!)They advised me my car will be the first GT4 to be delivered in the area. I am not sure if they mean South of France or Alpes Maritime. They have 3 other cars on order. Next one to be delivered in July and the other 2 in the Autumn and that is it. Apparently most popular colours for Porsche in South of France black and white followed by grey. Strange then that the GT4 is not available for them in white ???
What do you guys think about the Clubsport package? Will it be as essential on the GT4 as it it / has been on the GT3? I am a bit torn on this, as I will track the car. But seeing that Andreas Preuninger doesn't recommend the Clubsport due to the added weight (and weight in the wrong place) I am a bit torn on this. Either way the car will have the LWB seats, and maybe this would be enough? But seeing how the GT3 market is, it seems that the Clubsport cars are getting sold much quicker than the "comfort" ones.
Any ideas?

How dark are the standard headlight lenses? I don't want clear on a silver or white car? Is the only way to get darker lenses to spec PDLS? I really don't want to have to pay nearly £500 for lights that look around corners! Unnecessary...
Other thing I'm confused about is phone Bluetooth connectivity - doesn't PCM allow you to connect your smartphone (including non-iPhone) via Bluetooth? Or do I need mobile phone preparation? Personally I'm not even that bothered about paying to connect my phone as it's not a daily driver - do we think this is Important come resale?

I believe that both the std fit and option headlights are both "black", neither being the std silver colour. The optional PDLS headlights are also more powerful than the std lights, so this is probably a more significant reason to purchase than the PDLS itself.Other thing I'm confused about is phone Bluetooth connectivity - doesn't PCM allow you to connect your smartphone (including non-iPhone) via Bluetooth? I don't believe you can connect a phone via Bluetooth without either the "mobile phone prep" or the "telephone module" options. Its a matter of personal choice, but I wouldn't buy a car without one of these options, so if you choose not to bother you will rule out some used buyers (as could be said with many options).
Its your money, so buy what you want not what the next guy wants!

This GT4 has the £477 PDLS option -This GT4 has standard headlights -
The way to tell is the PDLS lights have the little headlight washer, and the standard lights don't. Both have dark lenses. I'm going standard.

I think connecting to the stereo through bluetooth is standard, although it has been quite difficult to get a proper clarification on this. My GTS has CDR+ Sound Package Plus, but not "mobile preparation", nor "telephone module" options and I am able to connect through bluetooth, but also stream audio etc. The streaming audio comes with the CDR+, but the connect phone via Bluetooth is a standard option. I'm torn too. I'm definitely going buckets. I'll realistically probably do no more than a couple of track days a year, so not sure that warrants it. I'm no speculator, but it is a decent chunk of change to tie up in a car, so I do consider resale in a couple of years. Apparently GT3s with CS command a significant premium (more than the option itself), and just from what I've seen on other threads maybe 50% are speccing GT4s with them. What do people do with the harnesses day to day on the road? How hard work are they for regular use (for an average sized person)?Any ideas?

Harnesses are no issue day to day as you just ignore them and use the normal seat belts. They just tuck out of the way.acey81 said:

The downside is a bigger washer bottle which adds weight, although you could fill it up less

My understanding is that you can only stream music via Bluetooth with the std setup, not make calls (I wasn't very clear in my post above), so I too would be interested to hear if you can actually make calls.
I can confirm that you can not stream music without CDR+, however I have not been able to get 100% confirmation on the calls. I am going to my OPC today to finalise my GT4 spec and hopefully get some clarification on the issue. acey81 said:

Was told you need phone prep to do calls when I specced my car at dealers.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
