It's very impressive - there was 4 - 2x yellow and 2x black. All club sport but no one had ceramic
I think the ceramics are overkill.
Preuninger said it was over-braked with the standard brakes.

The guys are putting endless ma45b pads in which I've used in my Schirmer m3 at the ring so I might go this way also

nice but way too expensive, the endless pads.

I'll keep OEM and see what happens.

Exactly.

I have just had an email from my dealer. Their build slots have been moved back slightly. Their first 2 allocations will now be built in October and I will be the second of those 2 builds so should see the car sometime in November.

Has anybody else heard the same?

Not sure what to do on the ceramic brakes now, was planning to go 'all in' and have these, but there seems to be very little upside and lots of scare stories about running/replacement costs for the PCCB option. They also make my build spec up to Almost £85k car with everything else thrown in which is getting a bit rich even for a GT4

Can't see the point of PCCB, the only benefit is reduced unsprung weight which yes will be nice but not £5k nice. If you are going to track it the steelies are a better option

Also frankly they are massive brakes at 380mm steel I imagine they will take a bit of work to get upto temp!

My TVR is only 322mm Sagaris and they feel fairly bulletproof, the 997.2 GT3 were the same 380mm and for aheavier car and they were fairly bulletproof.

Stick with Steels..

Guys, what's the thoughts on a black car without ceramics with yellow stitching, ie red capillars?
I'm not keen on red stiching, could just go grey maybe, but im drawn to the yellow with black.
Apologies for getting hung up on stitching!

Ceramics are great but not necsssary. Maybe get the regular callipers painted yellow after you collect the car .
I had considered it myself as my gt3 has pccb which looks great against black wheels

I booked my GT4 morning at Silverstone today. The woman said they were not getting the GT4 until mid September. I asked if I could book an additional half day for my significant other and was told it wasn't possible as the GT4 and GT3 RS were exclusively for buyers and were not available to book without the invite. She offered me a half day in a GT3.

Common as muck them GT3's.

I'm not the least bit surprised. At this point a little misinformation is almost a given when talking to Porsche about GT4's.

Anyone know the spec of the PEC GT4?

PTS is now available on the configurator. I have been sent the list of colours available and some very nice ones indeed. It will delay the order by up to 6 months though

Just saw that as well. Could you upload the list somewhere for us to see? 6 months delay, perfect might be able to get the LWBs then...

Assume the 6mth delay runs in parallel with the 3mth delay for LWB seats? Would makes it seem less painful if that is the case...
