Excellent, attack mode, will take no prisoners. Speed through Hatzenbach is amazing, helped no doubt by the wonderful chassis.

Good post.

I am not sure most perspective owners should watch the video though. He didn't order the leather dash and deviated stitching - how awful rolleyes

Not bought from Wilmslow, actually a London OPC instead smile

Build month of October, not been given actual build date yet.

So it seems people with Julie July builds ring told that regardless of whether they delay the car or not they can't have buckets, but people with October November builds being told they can ? Are Porsche trying to get those with June July builds to take the cars without the buckets so as not to mess with their production schedule?

As I understand it, if your spec was comfirmed before 9th May, your car will keep its buckets and be built as ordered. This should mean cars up to August production were already ordered with Germany at this point.

After 9th May, Bucket seats are on stop and not available to be selected for any orders.

Things may change in August and cars ordered without them will potentially be able to have them added, but this isn't guaranteed.

My spec was done well before 9th may , but was told there will be 10 week delay if I want buckets but last week I was told all orders with buckets were on stop regardless of when you ordered and your delivery date.

Morning would really appreciate some advice. My paperwork and spec is all done and I've not chosen sport Chrono or PCM (sat nav). Dealer thinks this is a big mistake.
I still disagree on the chrono pack but am now thinking I should maybe get the expensive sat nav but I would only be doing that for the next owner. And if I don't pay the extra outright in my deposit it really bumps up the monthlies.
Does everyone think sat nav is essential? (Can't I just chuck in a Tom Tom?)

Buckets, leather, phone prep, sound pack thing, cruise, and some extra alc/leath on doors.
you will not get the PCM money back imo on resale, but I have speced it.

not seen any one spec Sports crono.

As the car will fetch over list , spec the car how YOU want it, NOT often I buy a new car , so I have speced it for me knowing it will fetch over list any way.

Thank you Mr GT4. My current lean spec gives me a car I can afford to keep which is my preference. Fill it with options and I would not be able to afford it. Got big tank, smokers and silver wing supports. Anyone know yet if silver ones are metal or plastic. The black ones are plastic (nothing wrong with that but I'd prefer metal).
Lots of plastic too on gt3 re when I met that in Geneva.

well hope to see the RS and GT4 in person up close on the 15th at the preview event.

I went for black wing supports and every bit of trim is black.

I've specced sports chrono because that lovely little app will be great for track days, I've only really had a GT4 for track days and for me I've specced mine around that including ceramics. I had ceramics on my Spyder they were great but didn't have them on my Cayman R and I really noticed the difference, since then the GT3 and my Panamera Turbo S have ceramics

timing is banned on UK track days, and to get the best from the crono you need a track side tranny !

pccb have been done to death.
for the Gt4, it is overkill. on the previous spyder and cR the difference between the caliper size was alone worth it and you can upgrade to 350mm steel discs. On the Gt4, it does nothing but pub bragging rights.

walter rohl deemed it unnecessary and didn't spec it on his tells you something.

on that note, Walter also deemed it unnecessary to spec cdr or ac........... he also didn't believe in the cage.

other than freebies, which on a porsche you should always spec, i have leather. otherwise I am thinking about CDR delete, after purchase with it.

I hate it when stereos become obsolete and look fugly e.g. the 997.1 and 987.1 stereo or pcm.

My spec was done well before 9th may , but was told there will be 10 week delay if I want buckets but last week I was told all orders with buckets were on stop regardless of when you ordered and your delivery date.
The delay is a separate issue relating to confirmed specs prior to 9th May - my car is July build but currently has a build date of W/C 24th August, and the Buckets are still on the order.

They are not on stop for orders already placed prior to 9th of may, but will be delayed (8 weeks I was told and based on my build estimate that's just about spot on) - they are on stop for any confirmed specs placed after this date (they've been removed from these orders), and are not available to select if you spec your car with the factory now.

This information is accurate as at Friday and comes direct from Porsche Cars GB - but it could change tomorrow as nothing surprises me anymore with this car !!

Any more ideas on total numbers?

originally (back in April) my OPC said they were getting 4 cars for 2015 and some (but not sure how many) in 2016. In May he said that they were getting 8 for 2015 and not sure if getting any for 2016. On Saturday he said that they have had 1 allocation taken off them and are only getting a total of 7 for 2015 and that's it, none at all after that.

If there are 34 dealers and all get a total of 7 each then there will be circa 238 cars

Anyone got any more info on the availability of, and advise which bucket seats are correct?
I have just confirmed my spec and put my order in for an August slot and been told it cant be accepted until they have timescales/ a decision on the buckets. it seems like there may be some decision around supplier/s going on.
There also seems to be a couple of variants about - see below. Anyone know which is the version we will be getting?
