Just back from FOS . Had a good look at the 2 yellow cars on display and the white car held in reserve in the campsite . Both looked great .

918 buckets have grown on me massively , much deeper than I remembered .

1st time I've heard one ran in anger and sounded great to my ears . No quieter than the GT3 RS that followed it up the hill .

Discussed bucket situation and it is simply the supplier not keeping up . They expect the supply situation to be resolved hopefully before October .

Folding buckets haven't been type approved with cage which is why clubsport cannot be spec'ed with them . Problem is how the air bags would be impacted due to cage .
Also saw, heard and sat in the cars at Goodwood. The 918 seats in the GT3RS and the yellow GT4 used on the hill were much nicer than the comfort chairs in the yellow static GT4 in the Porsche Experience Centre. The alcantara wheel was lovely too. The clutch pedal feels quite heavy and the gearshift feels very precise.
I've got videos of the GT3RS, Spyder and GT4 from the start line, if I can figure out how I will post them here. They sounded very similar, if anything the GT3RS was the quietest of the 3.

However, the Singer was in a different league for sound and general presence. Chatted with Marino Franchitti before he did his run in the car which he really likes apart from the woven leather interior. We agreed that tartan cloth would have been much nicer.

Need another Journo Vid on the Gt4. Id like to see Steve Sutcliffe's take on the car given he's thoughts on the Cayman GTS

new call this morning from dealer, changes again regarding bucket seats.

Cars with locked in spec and build prior to September will get the LWB seats if specified. Cars built from September onwards will have the option of the P03 seats at £2,226 with no delays.

I got different info but did see the email from Porsche to the OPC

PO3 available from Sept on but not with Clubsport

There is no mention of LWB being available at all, everyone is speculating this is just a supply issue that will resolve itself but there is no information.

Agreed, I also thought the car was driven by Henry Catchpole yesterday.

on test day, as we know most cars show boat, and times are set buy people after times, it's meaning less

last year the 918 did a electric only time and when Ferrari turn up none of the big Super cars go for times.

Good wood is about seeing people like this and cars like the Fxx K.

Must do better. As PEC lead instructor you would think he would be able to give it some beans.
