Just over 2 weeks until my PEC day - hoping get get some time in the LWBs to see if I get a bad back or not!
Anyone else had theirs yet and got any feedback on how it was after a period of time? Even more so if you happen to be lofty 5ft 6 and are slimline ;-)
The limited moans I have seen about comfort are from people who suffer with back issues (I don't), or from 6ft + chaps.

Bloody hell,do you know how popular the car is at PEC? I just booked mine now as I wanted to know when I was getting it before I confirmed the PEC event,I didnt want to drive the car in july if I am getting it in october, not that I had a choice...next available slot ...october 4th .I couldnt do that so booked the next available which was 23rd which means I should have the car by then.
LWB:
I've taken delivery in France and am a slim 6' 3½". When I first sat in the LWB I found it lacking in lumbar support and pressing against my upper back but as soon as I drove off it felt comfortable and still did when I got home 2 hrs later. The back rake is as I normally have my seat in order to have bent arms for maximum wheel control so I don't notice it being upright. I think it is something you get used to and it is the normal positions for track seats. Lateral support is good. I have a bony arse and haven't noticed a lack of padding. I am very happy with it in all respects.
Driving update:
Those who read my last post will know I was very disappointed with the lack of feedback and artificially damped feel of the steering compared to hydraulic GT3 steering. Yesterday I twice drove down the mountain from my village and back up on a road I know like the back of my hand. I had PASM on the hard setting and on the second run up I turned stability and traction control off. I discovered just how lively the handling can be. Surprised by a snap of oversteer out of a wide hairpin that I really threw the car into I backed off instead of just easing the throttle. As the tail straightened, instead of the momentum wanting to continue to the other side as it would have in my old 996 GT3 with the potential of tank slapper, it just snapped back into line. With the nannies off the tail also became much more reactive when braking into corners.
I became so immersed in the driving experience that I stopped comparing the electric steering to hydraulic and really had fun. Now I am convinced that once I can use full throttle the GT4 will be really exciting. I will have the enviable choice of amazing corner speed combined with relative relaxation and safety if stability and traction controls are on, or as many thrills and challenges as I can handle with them turned off. The engine and steering still will not feel as special as the 996/7 GT3 at lower speeds but the GT4 will be more comfortable and practical and I think will turn out to be the best of both worlds.
