Serious yes - although PM's are still fubar'd on here.

You could post it under 'Something that isn't as well built as a Porsche and the switch gear isn't as tactile' section.
wink
Is it there not an Airfix forum you could post it in? smile

Has anyone seen any GT4s on UK roads yet? I believe a couple people have taken delivery, perhaps they are 918 owners?

Spotted a RHD white one today on the A428 in Yardley Hastings heading towards Bedford.

Been on some excellent near empty winding roads (in France) the last couple of days. To anyone still deciding on seats I recommend buckets as I've really noticed the G-forces from the sticky tyres pressing my shoulders against the bolsters.

It's an incredibly confidence inspiring car. Even the missus has commented that it feels magnetically attached and I've been pleased with the cornering speed compromise that we've reached. You can feel relaxed attacking a road knowing that if a bend unexpectedly tightens or goes off camber you can back off or brake without destabilising the chassis - at least with the nannies on, which is part of our agreement.

In a few days I'll have finished the running in and will go for a solo drive with the nannies off and be able to report further but for the moment my impression is that with the standard setup and neutral throttle you eventually get very slight progressive understeer, just enough to let you know you're approaching the limit, but you can then neutralise it (or more) with throttle or brakes - basically it just does whatever you want it to.

For it to sound good you either need high revs or the sports exhaust on and windows down; it's then properly loud. I still miss the Metzger low rev sounds though. And although there is enough feel under high cornering load I still miss the feedback of hydraulic steering the rest of the time. However, if once I get to give it the full beans the handling becomes mind-blowing I think that that, combined with the confidence the car gives, will be fair compensation.

It's certainly popular. Everywhere I go I get thumbs up, headlights flashing appreciation, kids pointing, people photographing and 'belle voiture!'

Definitely genuine? Um no they are not, the door pull mechanism underneath is the same as the stock car, so the engineers at porsche had to make the straps fit it.
Um, they're exactly the same as in an RS, so don't see how they can be "faux", as you put it.

Hey all

I had a great call from dealer yesterday, build slot confirmed!

Going to get spec in today and wanted to see the general consensus on PCM? At the moment I'm thinking of going for the PLUS system inc sound package for about £1k. Am I right in thinking this comes with digital radio too?

Also are people still experiencing the delay when ordering with full buckets?

Build slots post October are not subject to seat delays is the word. PCM I feel is a rip off but probably essential for resale so ive opted for it

I'v gone for sound system plus instead of PCM. Nav gets outdated very quickly and phones will be much better in 6 months.

Same here, not at all sure if PCM will be vital on this car for resale as it is on 991s etc:

When did the black wing supports disappear from the configurator. Likewise, a while ago, the CDR+ audio pack was described as including DAB radio. Not now. Will the colours change next, or maybe the engine/gearbox....??

I really hope this is a configurator issue as I really don't want silver wing supports!

What's your most likely body colour choice?
