speak for your self my Spyder is ni on a perfect road car with the work I have done to it :-p

What I cannot work out is why others don't do simple mods which make the car so much more fun to drive.

I doubt most GT4's will even move the ARB's

I am sorry mrd the spyder is an excellent car but not the perfect road car for me I wanted a second car but it is more a third car plus!its nothing to do with the way it drives which is excellent but for me living with roof and it being a soft top !I am more of a coupe person!Hence the gt4 which will be the perfect road car for me!

That car works for you & your mind/skill set.
It is not the new 911RS for if it was it would be worth a lot more.

I should probably clarify my post a little, before the GT4 I enjoyed a 981S PDK as my frequently used track car, I'm now in my sixties and found the whole exercise of becoming a competent left foot braker both demanding and very rewarding. It left me with no doubt to the techniques superiority on track allied to the marvellous PDK gearbox. As my skill with left foot braking developed I was able to use the technique to help rotate the car more speedily and of course to be able to make full power upshifts whilst the car is hanging on to the last vestiges of grip on corner exits is a real delight. Whatever was lost in making quality gear changes in a manual was for me more than compensated by the new possibilities opened up with left foot braking, this also applied in road driving situations, as I'm also a very keen Road Craft driver, and still taking regular lessons in the technique even at this ripe old age !
You want to increase your challenge and enjoyment? Buy a manual and use the techiques you speak of whilst maintaining the correct use of the clutch.

Once you get decent at it, you will be having lots of fun.

Some interesting technical info on the PCA Video here.

Thanks for posting, always good to learn about the design and technical details. It makes a pleasant change to hear facts or at least the opinion of someone who earns his livelihood working on Gt cars.

not sure how a skill set comes into what feels nice to drive on UK roads ?

That's a fking stupid comment.

To many people talk the talk here, it's getting daft, esp Cmoose posts these days on all the stuff he wants to do but has never done fk all. Like I said most people run stock geo and N spec tyres. it's laughable !!!

Mr Demon

With respect, you are keen on cars and believe you are an excellent driver.

The reality perhaps is that you are a good driver, but believe that anything you own/modify is the ultimate whereas it is only for you.

Peace.

Yes it is laughable the amount of hot air on the forum but why not just give your view and if no one wants to listen dont worry about it.

Quite unreal, you can have a forum that turns into a kids playground of chucking insults at each other including obscenities but you can't name and shame the cooont dealers that lie and rip you off. Rant over.....gt4 talk pls

But completely understandable.

Mr D/Porsche GT4 adds nothing to the forum but ill informed opinion and pointless negative comments.
I disagree, ok he is very opinionated and can be rude but actually sometimes he talks a lot of sense and you can't say he doesn't put his money where his mouth is unlike some of the BS'ers on here.

Yes you can but it's not there for the next poor unsuspecting punter to see and be made aware of as it's 'under the radar'

If its Haymarkets policy then so be it

Anyhow we are on the same page with this . Maybe not so mr D, he does at least stick his head above the parapet which provides lots of entertainment

Interesting...this got me thinking....will we see the rise of the £15k refresh for the GT4?

But tbh that don't matter to me cos it's not got much going for it and anyways I'm flipping my burgers at £20k overs init. smile

And one more thing...

Can I drive the GT4 in a multi storey car park to get to my fave shops or will I get stuck cos of the low clearance?

I was thinking I could lift the front suspension and adjust the rear wing, that should do it. And would be faster as well init cos of the extra downforce! smile

I got stuck in one yesterday, but I already suspected it would work that way!

If you have a bit of angle you'll be fine, the problems usually arise when there's one of those tickets booths that cut all the angle
