GT4 + any RS sounds a nice pair.
A 964 RS 3.8 (the rare wide body) would be a nice contrast for the non-budget-minded.

Yeah nice proposition although I've been down the rs route and I add miles so I'd ruin the value and at current prices makes no sense to me.
Maybe a little Boxster to run alongside it will make a good stablemate for sunny days or even a 987 spyder.

As an aside when I get my gt4 can I request the opc adjusts the arb settings for me?

And will they alter the front height settings to maximum if required for any individual ground clearance issues?

Can't see why they wouldn't make any adjustments you ask for, that's what the GT cars are about. I called in unannounced to get the rear ARB adjusted and they did it straight away: up on the hoist and the bolt at each end of the bar moved from the middle to rear hole in the bar (to reduce the lever arm length to decrease twist of the bar, increasing roll stiffness).

Cool. Anyone got any pics of these bolts to adjust front and rear?
Is this the type of thing you can do yourself with a trolley jack at home ?

Forgot to add - we had to open the window at every opportunity in the pec yellow car it was boiling in there.

Easy to do at home. Just look for the anti roll bar and you will see three holes in it as standard the toe links are in the middle... just unbolt and re bolt where you want. nearer to the anti roll bar is stiffer(as you have less leverage) and further out is softer(more leverage)...

It is just two bolts per end..

This video shows ride height adjustment not totally straight forward

The video you posted gives reasonable views from 8:01 to 8:04.

Thanks, really good video. I'll try the car first but think that every centimetre of ride height will be important for road use. My Caterham is just about screwing up the coils to gain ride height - a 10 minute job.

Unless you have to go on ramps/narrow roads without proper transitions I wouldn't worry about it. Most speed humps are fine and you get caught by an unusually bad one or misjudge a ramp you can scrape without it showing. A few times on bad transitions I've heard a horrible noise and got out expecting to see the worst but unless you run your finger underneath the lip you'd never know.

Hya, thanks for the optimistic info. I had the same experience of grounding after first buying my 996 GT3. Car is due in December and the only reasons I would sell after taking delivery is if the ground clearance is a problem on a daily basis and the seats prove too low for my optimum driving position. Frustrating not having a car to actually drive to check!!

Front clearance on mine is about 12cm. I think GT3s are around a couple of cm lower.

If you're getting LWBs there's a big range of height adjustment. I'm sure you'll be fine.

No one in stable mind would pay that, sorry. Amazing car no doubt, but a £105k car, no chance! Suspect this might be Mr D's attempt at flipping after all his recent attempts to bad mouth the car to justify his end game!

How do we know its not the' right price ' ? We can't say no chance until it's offered at a lower price

£105k is not £25k over list, its £40k over list!

Either way its a ridiculous price.

I reckon the GT4 will trade around £85-£90k

We all know what 'list' really means in this instance .

As I said we won't know of its ridiculous for a while yet.

I wouldn't be paying 105 but then I have a car coming hehe

That car was about £85k any way !

List is price you pay for a car !

To advertise the gt4 at £65k was daft for a Gt car with no buckets. Very annoying by Porsche IMO.
I hope people don't see it as a £65k car because that's not good.

Same reason we see 991 gt3 at £135k not selling because of dire spec.

Spec is king come resale, just look at the White R which sold in a few hours this weekend !
