Discussion
In case anybody is remotely interested, I've just adjusted the rear wing to maximum angle of attack and removed the front venturi spoilers. Sorry to inform whoever it was who posted that the rear wing adjustment was on some sort of eccentric device, it's not, just a humble slot on the rearmost mounting point. Not expecting to feel any difference at my level of driving skill, but would be very happy to be surprised !

please join me as my guest at Silverstone on Monday .
Great to meet up today at silverstone,The GT4 def feels strong on track, esp with the geo tweaks.
One is going to need big balls to notice any flaws in it for sure once the geo,arb are dialled in.
Cannot wait to get mine now :-)

Has someone hacked your account??
The Yellow pec car was not all that, under steering , heaven clutch, dodgy brakes. The car I went in today was far better, better geo, no heavy clutch and brakes that worked.
Makes a lot of difference ESP when you are a fussy like me.
Really looking forward to driving a production model now , not the flawed pec car.
Gentlemen, I have very limited GT3 experience, I was lucky enough to race a 997 Cup in the VLN for a few seasons, but that's my total experience for modern Porsche's . In honesty, the car felt worse to me with the Venturi blockers removed and the wing cranked up , certainly had more under steer than last week at Thruxton. To get the car to the apex of most corners required a deliberate delay getting back on the throttle, the car was still very enjoyable, and quite quick. Next time out I shall leave settings as they are but move the front bar to its softest setting and see what results develop. After my small "run-in" with the technical guru's on the Forum, I've decided "posting " is not for me, and this will be my last post, for those who indulged me, my thanks. Good Luck with your cars .

Just curious, presumably all this extra grip from the Cup 2's mean they wear out quicker ??
No. There is some witchcraft going on here. They do start with substantially more tread depth than the old Cup (around 6mm) but they do wear slower as well. Generally they seem to be able to last anywhere from 3-4 times longer than the original Cups.

Thanks for the updates. Please don't stop posting. As more cars get delivered and more of us start tracking them, having a small group of us willing to exchange ideas and setups and discuss the effects of such is going to be invaluable.
I don't really see the "run-in" you refer to. I see several of your posts ignored, but can't say I have seen any offensive or derogatory posts aimed at you. Just discussion about the merits of multi-link v strutt suspension at the rear. Unfortunately I have to agree that as an "ultimate" setup, multi link is superior due to the range of adjustment and the ability to tune it's behaviour over its range of articulation. But does that make the GT4 a crap car? Obviously not. I loved tracking my Cayman S as much as I have done my GT3. And I'm sure my GT4 will be fantastic fun too.

That would be a real shame - we need more 'informed' opinion, not less...Someone with experience of driving a 997 Cup in the VLN will have infinitely more experience than half the "gurus" on here.
I've been reading your posts with interest after missing out on a car (but who knows with all these suggestions that more will be made) so I'd be sorry to see you go.
We've all had our run-ins on here (and even this thread) - you just have to let it wash over you and enjoy your car

Thats a dream - right there VLN let alone in a 997!I understand your decision. Some comments or responses can be really irksome.
Shame though - the forum needs more people like you. Hope to see you on the track one day.
