Just curious, presumably all this extra grip from the Cup 2's mean they wear out quicker ??
After less than 4,000 km on the road my Dunlop Sport Maxxs are half gone. From what I've read the Cup 2 lasts a fair bit longer but unfortunately first time around it's a lottery what you get.ravon said:
After my small "run-in" with the technical guru's on the Forum, I've decided "posting " is not for me, and this will be my last post, for those who indulged me, my thanks. Good Luck with your cars .
Just to get into my first argument with you - but hopefully not last - I don't remember anyone having a go at you. The recent tech discussions have been mild compared to some of the mud-slinging and willy-waving that's blighted this thread and you made history by converting the mythical MrD. Not having ready access to a track I've certainly been interested in your posts and would be disappointed to miss out on future ones.Edited by turbofreeFLAT6 on Tuesday 8th September 14:18

Gentlemen, I have very limited GT3 experience, I was lucky enough to race a 997 Cup in the VLN for a few seasons, but that's my total experience for modern Porsche's . In honesty, the car felt worse to me with the Venturi blockers removed and the wing cranked up , certainly had more under steer than last week at Thruxton. To get the car to the apex of most corners required a deliberate delay getting back on the throttle, the car was still very enjoyable, and quite quick. Next time out I shall leave settings as they are but move the front bar to its softest setting and see what results develop. After my small "run-in" with the technical guru's on the Forum, I've decided "posting " is not for me, and this will be my last post, for those who indulged me, my thanks. Good Luck with your cars .
Thanks for your insights --- I will set my car up standard but with front ARB mid and rear hard, for starters Your insights were very useful.
I hope to meet you on track some time
Ravon,
I really enjoyed reading about your experiences with the GT4 on track as well - once my car arrives i'll adjust the rear ARB to stiff and either soft or medium front - I prefer a loser rear end to aid turn in. I think given race experience in VLN, your input will be missed, however I entirely understand that PH can be a very unrewarding forum to post within.
carry on ragging !

Was told today that because of confusion about spec locked in or not by the dealer and a recent spec change, where I was told it would not delay my build, I was informed today thatcher build has been pushed back to the end of November instead of early October. Gutted and feel let down by the dealer
