Seems similar I have March Delivery so I guess jan/feb build
What colour? I went Gulf Orange after seeing the same colour on a Cayman Race car in the US.
My build completes on Jan 12, OPC said delivery could be 10 - 11 days after that.Seems similar I have March Delivery so I guess jan/feb build

I've gone for Voodoo Blue, despite not having ever seen it. I went to the Porsche Classics at The Castle event on Sunday hoping to see Voodoo but there wasn't one there. A handful of Mexico and a couple of Riviera but no Voodoo. There's a Voodoo 981 Spyder in Hampstead that I might see if I can go and see, at £1.2m I'll have to wear my good shoes.

Any further news on more allocations, if PDK S will be available and anything on GT4 RS? 300 plus pages its difficult to keep up with the latest info
Nothing more on allocations and still a lot on waiting lists. We suspect the PDK suggestion was nothing more than Internet gossip. Can't see there being a GT4 RS until 981.2, so maybe a few years off yet, but you never know!Inverted said:

Information as of now: Most countries have already gone through their allocations for 2016, more allocations not looking likely at the moment. Even more unlikely in the UK as cars from one country can't easily be swapped to the UK (more likely going to the US).
No PDK for the 981.1 GT4.
No GT4 RS for the 981.1 generation.
The rest is pure speculation, but most things simply don't make sense (PDK this late in the production cycle, timeframe to release an RS-model with the .2 version coming out).
I have had some quotes on insurance as i'm picking mine up next week, Mannings were £1225 with unlimited trackday cover, i'm 43 with 14yrs NCB. Aplan have got me the best quote but doesn't include trackday cover @ £675.
All insurers so far have stated GPS Tracker required
You have to be careful with some of the well known internet base companies, you get a better price but if damaged will only go through there repair network. I had a battle with one insurer a couple of years ago who wanted to be repaired through there network of repairs and I wanted repaired by Shorade who are Porsche/Ferrari authorised. There was a big stand off and I have to write letters stating law but it is now written into there T & C's

Official line is if it is not an approved Porsche part it could invalidate your warranty.
I found Tracker do a battery powered unit call Tracker Battery Powered Retrive which should last 5 years, I spoke to Tracker about the unit, it sounded the ideal thing as no wiring required so that would not effect Porsche Warranty and they notify you when the battery requires replacing. It seemded to tick all boxes until I spoke to the insurance company and they won't accept it as it is not GPS, it is only VHF so that was that idea out of the window.
The only other options were :-
1. Fit a normal wired Tracker or equivalent GPS tracking device away from the dealers but if there was ever an electrical issue in the future and found the dealer found unit there maybe an issue
2. Fit the Porsche VTS
There is quite a difference in price, the equivalent Tracker Locate is £440 cheaper than the Porsche VTS but both are CAT 5 units. So the question is do you cut a corner and saving £400 on a £80000 car?
