Could I ask a sensible question here. Ignoring whether true or not for a second, should the rumours of a PDK GT4 materialise (and soon), would you consider it to sell out instantly, even if it is a PDK and not PDK-S box? I expect a PDK may take more of a hit long term over a Manual, but surely it wouldn't be vastly different if numbers are similar? I'm a Manual man for the most part, but in a sports car, I would consider PDK...if Porsche make a decent one?
Whilst I love PDK, this car is in the Hot-Rod category. As such, manual, torquey high capacity motor, five stud wheels, compact and be-winged with all the Clubsport paraphenalia seems to make perfect sense. Hence manual is probably more in character, --- and for the future, far more exciting once turbo and PDK become "mandatory".Time will tell

Ok, so because the car was advertised at £105,985, , unless you can prove it sold for that amount, which we all know you can't, take these speculative prices with a pinch of salt.
So presumably you have evidence to show it didn t sell........without being pedantic, of course. Its focus is absolute, its performance is thrilling and has just the right amount of rabidity to call to mind the GT3 or even cars more frenetic and relentless as the Ferrari 458 Speciale and yet it also feels physical and old school at lower speeds. Almost the best of both worlds its a special car
Quote from EVO this month. Many more glowing comments. Lots of wet driving and it performed as well as the dry tests

Zero chance of PDK for current GT4 despite some ill founded 'rumours' recently posted. Shame really, as this would overcome the tall second gearing.av185 said:

Probably, but rumour aside, will a PDK even overcome the supposed long gearing, or will only a PDK-S fix that; and if Porsche announced it tomorrow (example), would demand be as high as a Manual? Thanks, I'll be sure to post a few pics when it comes!! I'll try and find the time to go back through the existing thread and see what you and others have gone for, it took me ages to decide!

matters not what people think, if the spec is right for you, that's great.
It's nothing like my spec , so not much one can say.
hope it comes soon.

No, somewhere else. I did approach the guys at Colchester but they'd already sold their allocation before I got to them. I've been specifically asked not to discuss which OPC I've obtained mine from as apparently they've had quite a few calls from people that are dissatisfied they weren't lucky enough to be afforded an allocation; I don't want to make their life difficult.

hi Tom are you getting your car from Colchester?
Thanks for the feedback - I'll look forward to hearing how you get on with yours!

Great spec for a road car. I've gone the same way with the seats. Find them comfortable and usable for the road and need some comfort at my advanced age and having spent the last 5 years in a GT3 clubsport. Left out PCM though as mobiles now have possibly better apps and instead went for CDR+ which according to the latest configurator notes includes digital radio (although these notes on CDR+ have changed in the past!!).

So what made your request special, and more vital that the OPC allocated to you, if you don't mind me asking?Close members of my family that live in that neck of the woods have ordered numerous cars from there and knew I was desperate for one of these so introduced me to their contact. The OPC was happy to deal with me as they know I'm going to drive and enjoy it rather than flip it, unlike some other people from their database they knew also wanted one.

Sorry that I'm a bit late to the party, but I confirmed my spec. today and I'm really keen to hear all of your thoughts!
I am 6'3 ½" (and slim) and have spent 6 hours/day with just a half hour break for lunch and find the LWB really comfy. However they do require agility to get in and out of so for a bad back that could be a problem.Given the road-biased spec will you be doing enough track days to make the Chrono worthwhile?
The steel brakes are superb so unless you are able to feel the weight advantage in the steering response and bump control they are a very expensive unnecessary option. Improved bump control is the last thing the GT4 needs and I found that setting the rear ARB to stiff, as well as perfecting the balance, made the steering lighter and more responsive. The GT4 steels also rust much less than any others I have had. Ceramics have less brake dust but those magnificent wheels are not a hardship to wash, especially with some space around the callipers...
The rest is a matter of taste and interests. For me it is a car that should be kept as raw and light as possible and I prefer hearing the engine and exhaust to listening to music/radio so I left out all the electronic options but I do wonder whether I should have included climate and auto wipers.
