The article indicates only 129 cars which is a bit low when it seems to add up to about 200 cars across network of dealers?ie less than 3 cars per dealer yet most getting 4-7 cars!
So sounds like complete tosh
Yeah, I thought it sounded a little low too, but thinking about it, and given the amount of conversations I've had with dealers all over the country, it may be about right. There are (I believe) 31 dealers across the country, and quite a few I spoke to had only received an allocation of 3, and the majors 4 or 5, with 6 at a push. On an average of 4, that's around the 124 mark, so may be accurate. Might mean more to come, but we'll see.So sounds like complete tosh

And if there are more to come they will get bought up as for the price entry point there isn't much else around with a premium badgefor what its worth, there are 34 Porsche dealers in UK - of which 5 are run by Porsche Retail Ltd (Reading, Guildford, Hatfield, West London and Mayfair) Retail were initially allocated roughly 5 each but given additional 2 allocations in July to make it 7 each - not sure what other 29 dealers got but estimate only 3 or 4 each

Close members of my family that live in that neck of the woods have ordered numerous cars from there and knew I was desperate for one of these so introduced me to their contact. The OPC was happy to deal with me as they know I'm going to drive and enjoy it rather than flip it, unlike some other people from their database they knew also wanted one.
I am sure that the people that miss out on a car will feel very unhappy upon reading this. The mind boggles where this sort of behaviour will end. What happened to first come, first served and genuine waiting lists ?jackwood said:
It's not winter...
The actual law is that it is illegal to drive in snow without winter tyres fitted. If there is no snow, you can use whatever you like.
Sorry that is not correct. The law relates to winter conditions and that includes black ice. If you drive in Germany in winter without winter tyres your insurance will be invalid. You will also pick up a fine. The actual law is that it is illegal to drive in snow without winter tyres fitted. If there is no snow, you can use whatever you like.
