It's not winter...
The actual law is that it is illegal to drive in snow without winter tyres fitted. If there is no snow, you can use whatever you like.
Sorry that is not correct. The law relates to winter conditions and that includes black ice. If you drive in Germany in winter without winter tyres your insurance will be invalid. You will also pick up a fine. The actual law is that it is illegal to drive in snow without winter tyres fitted. If there is no snow, you can use whatever you like.

Well I had my PEC session today . The car exceeded my expectations .
Hopefully fuel consumption and tyre wear will be better on the road . 1 full tank used and 2 new tyres fitted 30mins into session are just about shot by 4:30 ! Great fun once again .
Awesome . Had a brief drive Monday but literally 2 Laps of the handling circuit although I was lucky enough to have an hour in the 991 RS too ! My pec session is 6th nov can't wait . My instructor was Barry 2003 Carrera cup chsmp, now that lad can drive!

What was the spec of the car like? PCCBs? Yellow, I presume?!Hopefully fuel consumption and tyre wear will be better on the road . 1 full tank used and 2 new tyres fitted 30mins into session are just about shot by 4:30 ! Great fun once again .
I've got to wait until November 7th for mine; I might already have my car, by then!

How did you bag a 991 RS drive. I tried but they would'nt bite . Maybe the state of the Macan Turbo I just handed back put them off ! My pec session is 6th nov can't wait . My instructor was Barry 2003 Carrera cup chsmp, now that lad can drive!

No it's a new car . Black / Comfort / PCCB's .
Ah good, I'm pleased, thanks for letting me know. I've gone for the 18-way seats rather than the buckets so I'm chuffed it'll be a similar experience. So go on, would you care to elaborate further?! How did it go about exceeding your expectations? What's the second gear ratio like around that track?

Ok, snow and ice. And a damned hefty €60 fine if your caught in those conditions without the correct tyres...http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/touring_tips/...
Not like they're going to lock you up, is it.

A friend of mine's getting an RS and invited me along to share his day so at the end I explained I'm getting a gt4 and Barry arranged a quick blast . Edited by GT3cs on Friday 11th September 22:21
The RS really is something else I must say and made me a little underwhelmed by the gt4 but then that's to be expected .
Sure my full gt4 session will be great .
He drove the gt4 sideways for a few laps too so gave me a good idea what it's capable of. Revon he'd wipe the floor with all the people on hear that think they can drive . We all know who they are don't we!
RS is certainly an awesome piece of kit . ( but it never came past us ! In the GT4 or the turbo . ) I'm still keeping fingers crossed for one
GT4 was on Cup 2's
Seats were no problem at all . Very comfortable and did the job . I'm still having Buckets and clubsport though as I think it's just right for the car

If you can get your hands on an RS you've done well Paul . GT4 was on Cup 2's

When is actual gt4 delivery for you ?

I am sure that the people that miss out on a car will feel very unhappy upon reading this. The mind boggles where this sort of behaviour will end. What happened to first come, first served and genuine waiting lists ?
Still there,I haven't bought from a Porsche dealer since 2007 ,slapped my name down a early and got a car ,as have many on here.Dont buy into the fact that because some have got some preferential treatment that that is the standard profile of gt4 customers.TJB82 said:
Apologies if this has already been covered, earlier, but is there now the possibility my car will arrive with Dunlops? I was under the impression that Michelins were the standard fit, no?
For the GT3 the two approved tyres were the Dunlop Sport Maxx Race and the Michelin Cup 2 - it was 'random' which your car came with, but I think that, for the UK at least, 80-90% of cars were on Michelins.I assume it will be similar for the GT4.
