Do you know what the paint code is?
I wanted Birch Green when I ordered a GTS but was told the closest I could get was Light Green code 253 and this was the only photo Porsche could provide me as an example;
Birch Green and Light green are the same colour AFAIK. The confusion arises from the fact that Birch was an old name for the colour used in certain markets. I ordered my GT4 in it after considering Peridot. Like you I was unable to get a colour sample from Porsche so ordered up some paint myself to spray out a speed shape to see what it looks like. I was also considering Signal Green so did a spray out of that as well. I found various photo's of cars in Light green including this 991 C2S.I wanted Birch Green when I ordered a GTS but was told the closest I could get was Light Green code 253 and this was the only photo Porsche could provide me as an example;

Odd,my completion date was 7th and it's currently on a "ship full of Porsches going to grimsby" arrives next few days.Was sat on the docks since Wednesday last week over there ,and ship only sailed yesterday.
Do they ship to different ports depending on the location of the dealer ?

I don't I'm afraid. I believe my dealer has two ordered in this colour (one being my car).PorscheGT4 said:
GT4 in Peridot would have been great
My R was Peridot and I originally had my GT4 ordered in it but after a lot of consideration pouring over colours I decided that although I love Peridot, rightly or wrongly a solid colour is somehow more suited/traditional to a Porsche GT car IMHO so I looked for a similar shade of green in a non metallic finish.I'm quite partial to this shade of green as you can see

What I actually wanted was the Acid Green of the Panamera hybrid calipers;As I wanted it to look like this;
Which to my eyes is a lot brighter and more Yellow than Green......but the pictures I kept finding of Light Green looked duller and more green to me;
I literally spent three months scouring the net for pictures, drove myself completely mad, but just couldn't pull the trigger unless I knew I was going to love it.......

The colour looks very different in different photos dependent on lighting etc
It is, but the Turbo S pictures came up when searching for Birch Green......I told Porsche Solihull that I wanted Acid Green but was told that was not approved as an exterior colour, I then showed them that Turbo S picture and said I wanted Birch Green and they came back and said "the nearest" was Light Green 253. The pictures of the Light Green seemed to be different to those when searching for Birch Green and eventually I pulled out as I couldn't be certain that I was going to be blown away by it...........especially at over £70k+ for a GTS..........

Tbh the way it's gone I fully expect the ship to sink.
I am part exchanging a 981 Cayman S and was keen to do it sooner rather than later as its just sitting at home depreciating. OPC said they would take it in at any time but I haven't dared just in case it all goes pear shaped and I end up porkless. If I can't have a GT4 I want to keep my S. After 10 months of uncertainty there's nothing the dealer can do to convince me my car will be delivered on time or even at all.Sarnie said:

That's why spending £35 or so on a speed shape and a spray can of the colour you are considering is very worthwhile if thinking of going for PTS. It's pretty easy to do and lets you look at the colour objectively under different lighting conditions over a period of time. I've used it a number of times now to decide upon a colour and it has helped immeasurably as getting it wrong can be a costly mistake and relying upon photo's from the internet is somewhat risky.isuk said:

Great idea, you would have thought that a salesman might have thought of that to save an order!Good luck guys, can't wait to see the PTS GT4's!!
