just spoke to Porsche Ins Services for a quote and they said its important that the cars estimated value is stated rather than what you pay for it - otherwise you will be judged to have undervalued it.
My car has come out at just under 75k so therefore no tracker needed and quoted £500 pa, but if I value it at circa 95k it needs a tracker (extra cost, plus yearly fee) and quote is now £665

If you intend to track, it might be worth paying slightly more for Mannings etc as if you go separately, track cover used to be 10% of the vehicles overall cost for one day, so £700(?) for a day per event = more than a tracker and slight increase in premium
Problem with Mannings is they cannont insure a new car for over list value. We had this issue with the GT3s so the only way is to state a value on the car backed up by comprable sales evidence I.e say £110k for the GT4 which is what it would cost to buy a replacement clearly subject to revision depending on the market.........AD64 said:

Ive insured mine with Porsche via Marsh at £350. I might have misunderstood but they told me for the first 12 months you get new car full replacement so increasing value only comes into equation then?

Was spec'ing mine yesterday, at the moment all buckets are on stop for the GT4, you can only spec with sports and adaptive sports seats, and then obviously no Club Sport option.
They've had their delay issues previously but I don't think they've actually been on stop before, bit of a poor show for a GT car, hope Porsche sort that out soon.

Insured mine through Porsche Insurance, and was told tracker required. The Aviva paperwork stipulates that needs tracker from their approved list.My car has come out at just under 75k so therefore no tracker needed and quoted £500 pa, but if I value it at circa 95k it needs a tracker (extra cost, plus yearly fee) and quote is now £665

Nice to see the NSX still stands out! Would now like to see the magazines review some older Porsches to see if there is any correlation between driving experience and price.Autocar: Acura NSX vs Porsche Cayman GT4 vs Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta
Yes, delivery of a Ferrari FF, McLaren 675LT and now a Cayman GT4 all in the space of 2 weeks, wow. He's got a sensible investor head on if you ask me. Apparently ordered it via PEC a few months ago, do they even offer that option? I reckon influence helped, well done if it did, I have none haha

I can't work out how he's paid for them all but then again it's none of my business. Good luck to him!
He covers it in some of his latest Q&A, but seems the 675LT was purchased outright, the FF on Ferrari finance; no idea about the GT4. Seems that he's done well for himself over the years; he was involved in investment banking in London during the glory years, so maybe used that opportunity to build an asset portfolio, some of which he's now released equity in. He lives in the centre of London with two parking spaces, says quite a lot. Well done to him.Not Ideal said:

He's spent a shedload on Botox and other treatments also.
