On the topic of number of cars by the end of year I would hazard a quess that circa 125-150 would have been delivered and perhaps 100-125 more next year! Extra cars or not I was about No6 and still might not get my car until end of year no cts no cs and no 918 style seats to delay my car! My dealership got allocated one highest number of initial batch of gt4s and that was only 8-9 cars! So I cannot see where these dealers got 15 or so cars!
It would appear that "extra" allocations are for Porsche GB owned sites ?jackwood said:
So has anybody added any adjustable toe links to increase the front and rear camber yet?
Or is this the kind of thing we will only really get into in the spring once people get tracking them properly?
why do we need front ones if we can just add a 6mm shim as we have GT3 LCA's ? you can get -2.5 without parts up front.Or is this the kind of thing we will only really get into in the spring once people get tracking them properly?
I'll add rear ones to stop rear steer and make the car more stable under brakes, I'll have to play with rear camber as 295 is a big foot print.

Mines been on the square and was/is pretty much exactly on the factory spec. I've got the corner weights at home, but from memory they were very close. I will put them up eventually. Best one ever as delivered!
What did your gt4 weigh in at? I remember you weighed your 991gt3 as well which ended up almost 1500kg?nutbehinddawheel said:

You've also said in the past that the monoball aftermarket rear toe links eliminate wheel/axle tramp. Has that been your findings on the Spyder and R?

Pretty good photo showing the difference in darkness between the two. When i picked up my guards red with PCCB's from Cardiff last friday there was a stunning carmine red cayman GTS with PCCB's parked alongside.Despite looking classy; when the cover was taken off my GT4 the carmine GTS suddenly looked dull.If carmine was free i would still pick guards on a GT4.The guards red is a lighter brighter much more sporty red and suits the GT4 perfectly, also carmine red can look dull in our typically cloudy weak daylight UK has.All purely personal subjective imho of course

Very true. It is interesting how Guards changes in different light furthermore photgraphs often don't do it justice. In the flesh I find it is stunning and depending on the car it can often have more road presence than white both of which are true GT and 'free' Porsche colours.....always a bonus! The above 'sunny' photos almost make it look RS Lava orange which is no bad thing.........The guards red is a lighter brighter much more sporty red and suits the GT4 perfectly, also carmine red can look dull in our typically cloudy weak daylight UK has

Yes agree completely about GR being a much better choice over Carmine on a GT car. I have submitted a GR spec but I'm not having PCCB so my car will be Red with red stoppers. I'm considering DMB as will be a nice combo with red brake calipers and I also like the colour. It looks superb on the 993s and 4s. I'm completely 50/50 as GR will stand out more but then blue looks more classy which matches my persona I guess it's a nice problem to have.

Don't you notice when you walk round the car the bridge on your foot hits the splitter, it's the only car I have had where I hit the top of my foot esp walking round the car in my a small garage.
Splitter shoe damage alert!Never heard that before.
Put slippers on your Christmas list....
So, let's say I do get allocation this morning and do decide to spec a car...
I'm thinking of keeping it 'lean' and maybe having (as the major options):
- Sapphire blue
- 918 seats
- and that's pretty much it. Maybe some alcantara and stitching, here and there...
But what are the must have options in terms of covering any ugly dash plastic? Is anything else needed?
Are the 918 seats tighter than the other (P03 are they?) buckets? I found the 918 seats a little tight when I got in my buddy's Spyder the other day.
I stopped paying attention to a lot of the guys spec-ing their cars when I thought I had no allocation!
