Yep it will be the GR one which the guy didn't want when they eventually got in touch with the customer, sold in a couple of hours to someone else on the list...

GR = Guards Rust.
Its a gingery pink colour depending on the light. No wonder the original chap didn't want it. GR examples tend to get chopped in after a max of four weeks.

These are the FACTS (please note my use of capitals) as have been reported on these very tabloid pages in case anyone missed them in the general mellay.

I noticed the wheel arches had started to blister and the paint on the bonnet had oxidised into a flat gingery colour. Looked like a barn find.

Thats very good, I should have suggested in my other post that borrowing via an unsecured loan from the bank is a great idea as my bank HgSBC are offering up to 25k at 3.7 APR if you're a premier customer and 15k if you're not.
25k won't buy you the car but it'll save you fair few quid if deducted for the OPC finance.

That would be a route I would take…

Gary, how much can you borrow with that rate from Halifax? Unsecured is normally about 25k max?
I don't use finance ,but I could not refuse the Hsbc deal ,so I used it on the wife's car.its a great deal .

Wonder if they'll be selling them off cheap once all the deliveries have been made.

I can only live in hope :-)

They told me that they keep all the GT3's and don't sell them on. The red GT3 there has now done I think 14k miles all pretty much on that track so my instructor said that they sell on the normal cars but not GT cars.
He didn't have an answer for me when i asked if they tell the buyer what kind of life they've had?!

You would hope that Porsche would have the decency to tell a prospective buyer that it was coming from the PEC. I wasn't really expecting them to sell any cars on, but wonder why they are willing to pass on a "cooking" spec car but not a GT car?

If you PM me I will send some better pictures tomorrow. Looks fantastic in red with the Satin Wheels and the LWBs with red stitching sets off the cockpit fantastically
